High School Science Whiz Accepted to All Ivy Schools
All eight Ivy League schools, including Harvard and Yale, have accepted Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna, a Long Island, N.Y., high-school senior, into their freshman class of 2020. The Nigerian-American student follows in the footsteps of a Nigerian-born student from the same high school. Matt McDonald reports.

Jack Andraka, 15, Wins Intel Science Competition For Pancreatic Cancer Research.
Fifteen-year-old Jack Andraka from Maryland, winner of the world's largest high school science research competition, developed a test for pancreatic cancer that is not only 28 times cheaper and faster than current tests in place, but also 100 times more sensitive. Astoundingly, the urine and blood test that he developed can detect this type of cancer with 90 percent accuracy. (via Huffpost)
His insane reaction at winning aside (which is hilarious), the research this kid makes (at 15 no less!) is astounding! He talks about his paper after about a minute into the video. A 90% TP rate? Did I read that right? The sensitivity is really good, I need to find this kid's paper! Gah, yet another distraction!
