“You can’t spell pandemonium without panda!”
" could... could you just hold me, a while? "
@decanard
“Of course, Louie.”
Della’s arms wrap around her youngest son, humming the lullaby softly as she does. Part of her wants to immediately ask what’s wrong, rush off to fix it, but she’s learning what each of her children needs from her in moments like these. More often than not, it’s just this. Quiet contact. It’s good for them both, she knows, she has her own issues she’s pushed to the side for a long time and rushing off does nothing but delay what their whole family needs.
Each other, in the moment. When Louie’s ready to tell her, she trusts that he will. It’s all she can do.
“We’re here for the cult stuff.”
“We saw the ad on Craigslist!”
“Hey it’s a new thing! But you’re gonna be a great mom Dells. I know it.”
@decanard
“And you’re gonna be a great uncle, Don!” She grabs her brother into a headlock, not looking away from the eggs. Her eggs. They were real and they were hers and they were going to change everything. “You, me, and Uncle Scrooge! These kids will be so happy and amazing and awesome!”
“maaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe we don’t ask about how that mess started and focus on the fact that it’s all over.”

{ Gladstone at Della } “Wow, we’re such bitches.” | @bitofthisandthat
“You’re just figuring that out?” Della laughed, hooking her arm into Gladstone’s. It was dangerous to leave the pair of them unsupervised and yet here they are, free of any of their cousins to keep them from causing trouble. “Must be slipping in your old age, there.”
“No one’s ever going to love me like he did.” (Louie @ DcIIa) (about thE bastard) | @decanard
“Louie,” Della wasn’t entirely sure where to start with this entire situation. Because she was glad that Louie was away from that little worm, but seeing him upset? That broke her heart. So her voice stayed gentle. “I don’t know that I would call any of that love, sweetheart. Not with how he treated you. Love isn’t supposed to leave you hurt, not even when it ends.” She quieted, thinking. “But if you want to talk more about it, I’m always here to listen.”
