Andy leaned back in the booth, nursing a soda with a lime wedge perched on the rim. The night had so far been a bit of chaos: a mix of off-key ballads, surprising talent, and plenty of liquid courage fueling the performances. He glanced at Renee, a crooked grin tugging at his lips.

"Alright, place your bets," he said, gesturing toward the guy currently butchering Livin’ on a Prayer. "Is he gonna stick the high note, or are we about to witness a public tragedy?"

Aindreis was sorry but he sat down where he could. He was out, walking around, having a good time when all of sudden, and I do mean that, the weather shifted and he could feel the raindrops on his shoulder. So he'd walked into the first suitable place. A café didn't seem to be a bad idea after all. If he ended up stuck in here, he had his laptop and could do some work. However, he wasn't sure if it was just a busy time or if everyone else had that idea, but it was pretty full. "So sorry, I'll sit here just a second... I won't bother you, promise."
