1.Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic.

Oh gosh, it's been changing a lot from October onwards, I would say. It used to be good communication, bit funny fluff, but now? I would go with that I still have a special talent with magical realism inspired in latinoamerican magical realism (bc... Favorite genre and I've read tons), which means not that scary and more focused on feelings mixing reality and the inner world. Also LOTS of worldbuilding to sustain that.

4.How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?

Oh gosh. I mean I have a WIP folder with over 20 files but actively working on, with recently wrote words? Three - Vanderlyle Crybaby geeks, the anarchist, Chilean 1920s fic, and two fluff, funny prompt babies to help me distract when things get too emotional there.

I can share that one of them is for a prompt I got I think back on October??? And never answered (sorry Nonnie 😢) that it's about Hogwarts' dates, and particularly, using legilimency on a date. Lmao of course I'm building tons of context to make that happen being mindful of consent and privacy, so I'm not sure it'll be as funny as intended but at least it has some GOOD action sequences and some good ol' fluff 💜💜

With that, I picture the most awesome spies plot in the world - imagine, she wasn’t only protecting the secrets, but also the information about the secrets!!

That’s such a funny thing to hear, btw - thank you for sharing it! I actually got a bit of inspiration with that to write a short, short thing. I’ll be posting it in a bit :D

Weird sleep talking stuff

Hey friends! So, about a month ago I wrote this fic (Tumblr, AO3) for a lovely prompt about Wolfstar cuddles where (SPOILERS) Remus talks on his sleep. Of course, this is based in my own experience, since I’m a pretty active sleep-talker & dreamer.

So I wanted to know, do you guys have any funny or weird stories about things you’ve heard or have been told to say while you slept? I would love to hear them, doesn’t matter how weird they are (and maybe if inspiration strikes, which has been elusive, write something short? Only if you guys don’t mind, so I’ll ask if I want to use one of them)!

My funniest one - for me at least, I scared the shit out of my friend that was with me - is about me, sitting up in the middle of the night like a possessed person (yes, basically pushing from my abs to sit perfectly upright in one second), taking a loud, scared, high-pitched intake of air, just to then say “they kill.” (”Ah! matan“ in Spanish), and then flop back down on the bed. I still remember the dream because I was woken up by my panicking friend - and let me tell you, what I said made perfect sense! I was just discovering in my mystery-solving dream that the sketchy people I was following were willing to murder to hide their tracks, so. A perfectly reasonable reaction, don’t you think?

Anyways, hit me with an ask telling me about yours, or something you’ve heard, if you want! I know a lot of you are struggling given the current things going on in the world, so maybe some dreamy magical realism might be a welcomed distraction? <3

So basically wanted to say that my beta mentioned that Buckbeack was like the Animal companion in Disney movies that runs interference with the protagonist and the romantic interest all the time, and I think that was such a funny but accurate reading. After she mentioned that I started seeing it. I didn't make any change to amplify that role but it's definitely there.

Hope that's a funny and interesting thing and gives a bit of an idea about how my work with my beta functions!

And everyone, I would love if you would come ask me about specific parts of my fics or send me a star so I can talk about parts that I've been wanting to talk about!

I couldn’t resist, so here’s a starter for @shadinas-rp-sideblog 

gotta flesh out that Nameless character until he shines like how his mask shines.

Nothing worked. She would poke the symbol all she wanted, but nothing happened. She would look closely at the club symbol she got from Nameless, but she had no idea how to use it. She should have stuck around and asked him how to use it, but she didn’t. She can’t blame anyone but herself. Plopping onto the bed a bit, she leaned her hand that held the symbol near her mouth and jokingly said to it that she was fine, but that she got a carpet burn when she tripped on the way to her bedroom. “I doubt that would work, he can’t hear me..” she muttered a bit, tucking herself in and finally drifting into slumber. A couple of hours into her sleep, she heard a voice.
