Hephaestus had never much enjoyed being around other people. He didn't really have a problem with them as such, just a deep feeling of discomfort. He supposed he understood some of that now, his memories finally returning. There was him thinking all of that was just some made-up nonsense. This was much worse.
Unfortunatly there were still times he had to leave the house, and he had thought it was late enough that this would work. Even with the cane though, he couldn't walk that quickly, and his dog had run up to someone. "Smoky, heel" he called out, at least that had worked. "Sorry, he's... relatively harmless" well he was a big dog, probably not harmless if he knocked someone over.
