They had seen each other countless times since she had left home but it wasn’t the same as being in the same place as her on a more permanent basis. She had invited the other woman over for some wine and a much needed catch up. When the other woman arrived, Amelia immediately embraced her. “My god I’ve missed you,” she whispered before pulling away. “I have wine and food in the kitchen,” she said, pulling her along side her as she made her way to the kitchen. “So tell me how you’ve been,” Amelia asked, setting out plates for the two of them. “Does it feel weird to be in the same place again? I feel like it’s been forever even though I know it hasn’t.”
