Oak Labs' interactive fitting room feels like the future

Oak is partnering with the Polo Ralph Lauren flagship store in New York City to unveil its new smart fitting room. It's a simple, yet elegant solution that, according to Oak CEO Healey Cypher, both improves on the customer experience while also leveraging data and putting it in the hands of the retailer to make the purchase as seamless as possible.

As reported in Wired Magazine, eBay is expanding its reach into the physical world with an experiment at the Rebecca Minkoff flagship store. The article says how “The mirrors come alive. Walk into the fitting room with, say, a blouse and a jacket, and the dark glass lights up with a suggested handbag to match. You can browse the racks at the upscale fashion boutique or swipe through “looks” on massive touchscreens. If you see something you like, you tap in your phone number, and you’ll get a text when it’s ready to try on”

Diesel and Luma get interactive with Geordies and jeans

Last weekend we took a trip to Newcastle with Diesel and a customised YrMirror to get interactive with their customers. 

As shoppers approached the YrMirror holding a pair of Diesel jeans, the YrMirror then displayed interactive content relevant to each style of jeans.

The YrMirror created a huge buzz and attracted a large number of intrigued shoppers, allowing Diesel to engage with shoppers in a completely innovative way.

With the help of this Interactive Mirror, the consequences of the excessive consumption of semi-luxury foodstuffs are illustrated. As a person steps in front of the mirror and takes one of the objects, the graphic representation starts to react. The three objects lying on the pillar represent an excessive consumption of alcohol, fast-food or cigarettes.
