The item is an ultrasonic humidifier which can humidify a personal space such the desk or bed side.  You can also enjoy scents by mixing in essential oils. The humidifier can be used almost anywhere as it takes up very little real estate. Since the steam outlet is situated higher, the humidity can disperse slightly more effectively.
