Ok people and everyone else, here’s how it works:

Enter your name in the big box at the top AND CLICK “CHANGE” to change Y/N to your name (I’ve seen someone click on “Refresh replacements” for this. Fair enough but this is not how this works)

If you want to change literally anything other than Y/N you have to enter it under “Need to change something other than Y/N?” AND IF YOU WANT IT TO BE SAVED YOU HAVE TO CHECK THE “Store replacement” BOX

If you are on wattpad or any other site that refreshes itself with a “soft refresh”, you have to enable wattpad support in the settings.

If you’re having problems, please, please send the exact details to reproduce these problems to me. I will try and fix them. Just saying it doesn’t work for you does not help because it works for 50K other people so just tell me what is the situation on your end so I can fix it from my end or tell you what to do.

I found a way to download the InteractiveFics chrome extension on my tablet, and damn it is so much easier to read x readers now.

Just Thought I’d Share This With Y’all.

Let me put y’all on something. 

So, if you read fan fiction (more specifically, reader inserts) on a computer and you use Google Chrome (I think it also works on FireFox), there is an extention that will change “Y/N” to your name. 

Let me give an example. Say I’m reading an Anakin x Reader on Quotev. I have this extention.

Y/N -----> Alicia

Instead of seeing Y/N, I will see Alicia. 

You can also change other things. Like you can change “L/N” to your last name, “E/C” to your eye color, etc.

IMPORTANT NOTE CONCERNING MY FICS:

Hey there lovelies!

So recently, I stumbled upon something called InteractiveFics, and I fell in love with the idea instantly, because it is pretty distracting for me as a reader to constantly replace “Y/N” with my own name mentally before completely immersing myself in the story. 

SOOOOO

I’m going to add the coding to ALL of my current fics and any fic I release hereafter, so you can see YOUR name instead of “Y/N” on the story!! All you have to do is submit your name in before reading the story (it’ll always be placed right before my story begins so it’s easy to find) and it’ll replace all “Y/N” with your own name! I’m seriously pumped to add this in, it’s super cool!

Unfortunately, this does NOT work on the APP version of Tumblr, but it is available on browsers, so if you’re reading something on your laptop, you can add in your name. You do need to have JavaScript enabled, and I’m sure it is already the case for most of you, as it is on by default. 

This is just a little notice to you guys in case you stumble upon one of my fics and go “what kind of psychotic crap is she up to now??”

Reader tip for those who like Character x Reader

So, I love reading the character x reader stories, and I love replacing Y/N with my own name and was trying to find a way to implement that into my stories without having to imagine it, I did figure this out so hopefully it will work. 

However on my mission I found something even better. For those of you using chrome, there is an extension that will replace Y/N with your actual name. It won’t work on your dashboard but WILL work.
