I've updated my bio to better identify myself but ik not everyone reads the bios....
It's taken me a hot minute to figure it out (and it lowkey may change idk) but I think I've come to terms with the fact that I dont exactly identify with the gender identity I was born with. I was assigned female at birth but over the last 5 years or so I've felt less and less like a female, but I havent exactly felt like a male.. I think the closest identity that fits is Gender Fluid so that's what I'm going with for now. My pronouns are They/Them but I will still answer to she/her...
I was tagged by @ninis-smile (and apparently by Ravyeolii too but I wasn’t notified wow beautiful) for the last played song/lockscreen/homescreen/selfie tag--whoa, that’s quite a mouthful, but thank you for tagging me!
yes I have a thing for the dog filter okay come at me
The lockscreen is by ask-bts-stuff who drew a pocket sized Jungkook wearing a bunny onesie and bunny slippers and it’s tOO FREAKING CUTE AND MAKES ME SMILE EVERY TIME SO I HAD TO.
The homescreen is by blcpink and basically it’s aesthetically pleasing and I get to look at my queens every time I use my phone so :D
and then...my face. yeah, not much to say about that.
I TAG:
@littlekatlizzy (of course lmao)
@kim-nam-joonie (you absolutely don’t have to if you aren’t comfortable!)
@ravyeolii (hello again it is I, old friend) (I AM IDIOT I IS VERY SORRY)
So recently, I stumbled upon something called InteractiveFics, and I fell in love with the idea instantly, because it is pretty distracting for me as a reader to constantly replace “Y/N” with my own name mentally before completely immersing myself in the story.
SOOOOO
I’m going to add the coding to ALL of my current fics and any fic I release hereafter, so you can see YOUR name instead of “Y/N” on the story!! All you have to do is submit your name in before reading the story (it’ll always be placed right before my story begins so it’s easy to find) and it’ll replace all “Y/N” with your own name! I’m seriously pumped to add this in, it’s super cool!
Unfortunately, this does NOT work on the APP version of Tumblr, but it is available on browsers, so if you’re reading something on your laptop, you can add in your name. You do need to have JavaScript enabled, and I’m sure it is already the case for most of you, as it is on by default.
This is just a little notice to you guys in case you stumble upon one of my fics and go “what kind of psychotic crap is she up to now??”
And because you can now be an official character of JEFFREY’S HILL OKAY WOW I’M INTERNALLY SCREAMING AND DYING
Phew okay, didn’t think I would be posting this, but I guess it’s time.
When I made this blog, I was terrified, because the first blogs I followed were the famous, big ones and they all seemed to be getting on fabulously, they got asks regularly, their followers were the cutest and holy fuck their writing was so beautifully placed and so damn good, it made me want to change my mind about creating my own.
But I did anyway.
And holy crap, I didn’t expect anything above ten followers, heck I half expected my friends to find me and laugh at me. But you guys continued to surprise me, we broke the fifty followers mark, then the hundred, then the two hundred, then three hundred, four hundred, and now I’m here. I’m so very thankful to everyone who sends me supportive asks, to everyone who messages me about my stories, to everyone who takes time off their day to make sure I’m okay.
I love you all, and I’m so thankful to have you.
But I’d like to remind you that I was practically non-existent on this website before I started writing. I’d heard that Tumblr was equal parts supportive and aggressive, and I’m so damn lucky to have been showered with support.
There are so many amazing blogs out there. I stumble upon them all the time and I’m amazed, because they have so much talent and so much love for the groups that they stan that it baffles me when I realise that they’re still underappreciated. They post rants that feels like they’ve taken the words straight out of my mouth. They post uplifting messages that make me smile. And from a writer’s perspective, it’s fucking beautiful. We’re always told to keep writing, that we don’t write for the sake of readers, that our passion is ours and we’ll get that audience someday.
But I know how hard it is to keep believing that an ask will pop up, a notification will arrive, someone will give you feedback. So please, even if it’s just a simple “I love your story!” and you’re hesitating, don’t. Big blog or small, they’ll appreciate it. I have never seen this as a competition to see who has more followers, notes and reblogs. It’s a community full of people who love the same kind of music I do, who’ve felt pain and put it into words the way I do, who love the idols we all write about the same way I do.
This is not me calling anyone out. This isn’t me screaming or being rude, it’s just a reminder to appreciate the creator behind the screen, because I can assure you that as writers, we value every single reader and it defines our purpose further when you give us feedback.
So the next time you think about giving them some love, go for it.
FIRSTLY, I want to talk about all my fellow Indians who are suddenly ashamed of their nationality and are cowering. Nope. Don’t do that. More than anything, you should be letting people know that you are not to be generalised and insulted, if anything, you should be defending yourself! You are not a part of the crew that carried out the plagiarism despite knowing it would have serious repercussions, you are not to blame! So don’t take anyone’s shit my loves, the entire goddamn nation shouldn’t be taking the shit for a group of unoriginal people (and that’s me being civil and polite).
Which brings me to my next point.
When things like these pop up, it’s important to remember that these people are a meager percentage of our large population and do not represent the entire nation itself. Do not generalise and be rude to every Indian you come across, because they don’t deserve it. I’m relieved and happy SM’s decided to take legal action against the crew, plagiarism is never okay and EXO doesn’t deserve it. Please keep in mind that Indian EXO-Ls were quick to point it out and report it, we’re aware and no, we’re not excusing it one bit. We love the boys just as much as any other fan, and would never agree to such a thing.
So please, please, please, be considerate and respectful when you speak about this, because the billions of people back home don’t deserve the sudden hate because of a sole group of people who are most definitely in the wrong.
I was tagged by @ravyeolii for this, so here we go! Thanks for tagging me, I think I became more aware of the same five songs that I listen to every day because of this lmao
