Thoughts on a Busy Weekend
So I spent the weekend at Interchage festival working for my boss and supporting the local LGBTQ community and it was so cool. Not only did I register a lot of voters, and I gained a really unique insight because I, being straight and white, was actually a minority at all the events I attended. I of course believe that being straight isn't normal, it's just common in most places, but all weekend I was the uncommon one and I felt like it was almost poetic justice to some degree to understand a little bit more about what being a minority is like to those who live through it every day. I love my internship!
