i guess it disappeared but i could've sworn there was already a post about weird town names somewhere that i'd replied to, but i can't find it, so i guess it's been taken down.
anyway, i just thought y'all deserved to know that just north of Middlesex, North Carolina is a town named Daddysville, which is arguably much worse and less defensible than Middlesex, NC, Climax, GA, or Intercourse, PA. Daddysville, North Carolina is an actual place that exists, right next to Middlesex. Who named it that, and how and why was such a person trusted with the responsibility of naming an entire town?
