I see why Bentinck fell for William and fell HARD bc if the world's tiniest sickest miserable creature threatened my life the moment I first met him as a boy I too would never stop thinking about that
Actually, one of the most interesting things about that episode to me was that Yaz now ranks as the most long standing companion of nu!who and you could tell!
You could tell by how well she knew how to use the tardis, you could tell by how she predicted the doctor so well that it wasn’t even purposeful, she just knew what 13 would do before she did/said it. You could see it in her totally casual attitude to life and death situations. You could see it in just how done she was with 13 (after a while, it’d get So old).
it’s Such a stark contrast to the Yaz we were introduced to and saw in S11.

ok following my last reblog — i think there’s a lot to be said about xandar/the nova corps imposing their will on the cosmos and establishing themselves as the source of Right in terms of the law (i.e. with the pan-worlds jurisdiction treaty, etc), but these are thoughts for another time when i have more time to sit down and think them out
