Stone Wall Cladding
When talking about stone wall cladding, usually on slate, fiber cement or concrete. Slate cladding is quite common. It is available in the natural variant in which the natural stone is 100% or in an art form in which it consists of fiber cement. Slate is not too expensive. However, the material is less easy to work with, so the cost of inserting the siding often run high.
Additionally slate cladding sensitive to frost and can sometimes moss possible. Compared to natural stone, concrete cladding is cheap, which makes it attractive for renovation of housing. However, in large formats transportation costs can add up quickly. Concrete is also on most people bumbling about and chilly. Fiber cement is a material that consists mainly of ground sand i.c.m. fibers and mineral fillers. It is used for housing and recreation building. Not environmentally friendly.
Cladding stone is certainly durable, but not very environmentally friendly and CO2 neutral. Creating and processing of stone cladding takes a lot of energy. Moreover, there is created a lot of waste in the production of, for example, concrete and fiber concrete. Also siding stone has higher maintenance costs than other types of siding. After the technical life of the stone cladding can be recycled if necessary, which also causes costs and waste energy again. There is a natural alternative!
