When talking with someone don't listen for a breath and a chance to talk. Rather listen to what they are saying and take time to think about your response. Not only will you seem smarter but you will take away so much more from the conversation. In today's society we focus so much and what we have to say and forget to listen. The best example is when you have a group of people set to do a problem and you have that loud voice saying constantly "what is the answer? is it this? or this? or how about this?". They keep guessing and if you are quiet and listen for it, you will often hear a subdued voice with the right answer to the problem.

I need friends that challenge me intellectually and emotionally. People who I can rant about the pros and cons of living in a world such as this but also people who I genuinely could not live without.
