SHOPPING!
You do realize a custom assistant is meant to talk to you its part of the experience. saying "I'm just looking." after you have walked into my store and I have greeted you is rude! I honest feel like replying well look from the outside! Because I have stock that needs doing and a million other things but I put them on hold just to greet you! Even if you know what you are looking for you might not know where it is. By talking to me I will get you in and out with no dramas, I'll do it with a smile and it might help loosen your general grouchy demeanor. The people who seem grumpy in shops argue more and buy the wrong thing. Then come back and complain no one helped them! I personally am one of those few assistance if you come in to the shop I will just talk to you I mean I have to be there either way so why not talk?!? Heck I used to makeup stories to tell shop assistance all the time to see what they would believe. Sometimes you can go 20mins with out seeing anyone who is friendly enough to talk, and if you have everything done and are in the shop alone 20mins feels like 2 hours! Finally if I look like I was shutting shop don't walk in and while I wait for you and be all I'm just having a look. You can look after I pee! my bladder doesn't deserve that, and so as I have rushed to shut everything so I can run to the bathroom if you are angry if I'm late back you have some serious issues! I remember I had had some very sad news in my lunch break and was late due to having to fix my makeup and so I opened up again and first customer straight to the counter above the sign saying we do not accept Amex or Mastercard! You say "do you take American express?!" My reply with a polite apologetic smile "no I'm sorry we don't take Amex or Mastercard. " you turned on your heel while muttering under your breathe I waited just to be told that! I am lucky no one else had followed you in I was half way between about to cry and yell at you for being a rude twat instead I checked my makeup and went about my day.
