Also, like, if I was coming into this blind, as a reader, the way Amy keeps dancing around the edge of the narrative - as far as (for the moment) tertiary characters go, she keeps coming up, there keep being tantalizing hints about her having more going on -

But then you get these gulfs with nothing on her. You have to find yourself wondering how it's gonna all pay off, because while like, she hasn't actually been that important to the story yet... for someone not important, she keeps coming up.

Prisoner 605, Murderbeam, was feared in the outside world, but he was finding the inhabitants of the Birdcage were not so impressed with him.  He would likely not survive the week.  She was disappointed.  She had hoped Prisoner 550 would reach out to Murderbeam and give the fellow block resident some support.  Either Murderbeam had been too proud to accept it, or social pressures had deterred Prisoner 550.  Now that he was within the Birdcage, she was limited in her options.

Honestly. the sheer insanity and awesomeness of the cape names is almost reason enough to consider starting Worm on it's own.
