Criminal Minds 11.09 | Internal Affairs
A/N: I watched “Internal Affairs” tonight, so here’s a little look into Kensi’s thoughts throughout the episode. Daniela Ruah really did a great job showing her fear, confusion, anger, and all.
***
Kensi’s mind is reeling. Deeks was just arrested for murder of his former partner. She remembers the story he’d told her about the suspect, a pot of hot coffee, and then a gun in Deeks’ mouth. From all accounts, Boyle was a bad cop and an even worse person. It’s not hard to believe a prostitute he hit one too many times or someone among his many enemies finally decided to do the world a favor.
She’d feel better if everyone wasn’t rushing around, obviously concerned. It adds validity to the notion that Deeks is in real trouble.
Kensi trusts Deeks. More than just about anyone. She knows he’s not a cold blooded killer.
She also knows that Deeks is highly protective of girls like Tiffany. It’s so easy to construct a version of events that fills in all the missing details and end with Deeks shooting Boyle.
Tiffany was seventeen, vulnerable, and afraid of being arrested for solicitation at any moment. So, she did whatever Quinn asked of her. When Deeks found out she was hurt by Boyle, maybe he rushed to her rescue and ended up in an altercation with Boyle. Or maybe he’d confronted Boyle.
She likes that second scenario a lot less.
Honestly, she’s scared. She’s scared of what Deeks might have done. She’s even more scared of what might happen to him if Whiting has any solid evidence.
Her fear mounts after visiting Deeks and culminates in her yelling at Hetty. It doesn’t make her feel any better, but it does make her realize that no matter what, she’s going to stand with Deeks and defend him.
YES JAN 🫡
I don’t think I stoped crying for a good 20 minutes this episode for SO MANY reasons. 😭
