this year i’m becoming a link leader at my school through this program called link crew, where we act as academic and social mentors to incoming freshmen. some friends and younger siblings are freshmen this year, so i’m really looking forward to it!

this morning i tutored a student first thing; i felt so lazy that i’m glad i had a commitment to get me out of bed. studied more of my african-american history course and then prepped some food for tomorrow. i have a quiz with my friends tonight that i’m really looking forward to.
tuesday, 20th october
felt weird taking a day off in the middle of the week, but i had a lovely time in london eating these ginger and chocolate cookies (both divine), drinking limeade and reading for pleasure. ft. writing from @scullymurphy and a new yorker profile on lucinda williams (also both divine). london in october makes me feel like myself.
tuesday 25th august
so, i’m back! results day was a whirlwind, in a good way, of friends and drinks and late nights. i say nights because it’s been nearly two weeks and i am just now starting to get a grip again on routines that don’t involve coming home in the morning.
started this morning with journaling, yoga, and reading as i lay dying. i’ve been trying to read more because i’m considering applying to cambridge during my gap year. i figured if i have the chance then why not? their english lit course does look amazing and i’m confident now i have my grades that i would be able to get my place at manchester again.
