[FYI - this could be upsetting to read, use caution, skip it, etc.] also this text from my therapist kind of sliced through me, not in the worst way but. a fact is i didn't really come to terms with having been knocked unconscious until earlier today. it was always something that might have happened but how could i know for sure when i didn't remember. but i was thinking about it earlier today and like i remember getting hit and i am pretty sure i remember getting up from the ground but nothing in between. like duh. shara you were unconscious. like laying on the sidewalk outside cafe saint ex. for not more than a few minutes probably, maybe it was seconds but i will never ever know. one reason i didnt get properly tbi diagnosed at first was because all the doctors asked if i had been unconscious at any point and i said no each time because i didnt remember that happening and i was way too out of it to realize why. who knows why it took me an actual 2 years to finally figure this out.
