Sterile
Musicals have sex.
As the internet gets sterilised
Gets pushed more into nothing
But hate and talking like children
Trying to avoid their parents scolding,
Theatre shows have sex scenes;
They have torture and medicine
And depict it all plain as day.
Why sterilise everything
Except for what we're sold?
Except for what's created for us?
Because the sterilisation is control.
It's manipulation on it's own.
Don't be sterile, or pure,
Or whatever sandpapered word you picked.
Don't accept an internet calling us kids
Whatever age we are.
Humans aren't sterile.
The world cannot be sterile.
Our fucking language should never be sterile.
So be messy, be crass, be the chaos,
Be the sex scene in a musical on stage.
