During the last two Weeks in interprise we had played personality poker cards. In this game each card describes a particular behavior such as creative, curious , rational or emphatetic. The goal of this game is to trade cards with your classmates so you end up with five cards that have the words that best describe your personality. The other way we played this game was that our companions gave us cards with the words that describe our personality.
- MY LEAD SUIT in personality poker was THE SPADE because I had three cards of five with the SPADE symbol. According to the game this kind of person is more cerebral than the other styles. They make decisions based on analysis.
-These are ones of the main qualities associated with this kind of personality:
- Critical thinking ability.
-Attention to detail.
-Desition making.
-Problem solving.
-Research skills in order to analyze a question or problem on reach solution.
-How understanding my innovation style helps me to define my role in my team:
Because knowing my personality is easy to know what position is most suitable for me. People according their personality and skills are more suitable for one position than for other. For example a shy person would not be good for a public relations position or a person who is not careful with the detail would be a disaster as a librarian. However, if the company knows which are the talents, skills, personality they can take advantage of these and prevent talents misplacements. For example when you are going to start a business it is important to ask yourself what are your strengths, because on this depends the success of your business.
-What is my role in our small business and why do I think it is good for me? As can we see in the last picture above, my roll in our business is as a photographer and sales person, but I think how in this small business every body in the team will do a little bit of everything. I think this position is good for me because I enjoy taking pictures, this is one of my passions , also I am learning many photography skills. Sales person according wth personality poker these kind the persons make decisions based on analysis and if you want to have a successful business you must make a plan and analyze each aspect and decide what is better for the team’s business. As a sales person I need to make a good analysis regarding sales strategies.
- I think after this project I will have learned how to start my own business. I had many jobs but I have always worked as an employee and it is very motivating to think of other ways to earn money. I like interprise class because I am learning things to consider if you want to start your own business and not only in the theorical aspect but also in the practical aspects.
- I have skills that I have been very useful for me in a work environment. In Mexico l had worked for many years as a librarian and I have many librarian skills and when I arrived to UK I hardly spoke English but I had a lot experience in this position. When I arrived to London I applied for a job in the University College London Library and to my surprise I got the job.
I think a quality that helped me to achieve my degree was the perseverance because in that time I worked and studied full time simultaneously. This was very difficult for me because these were four years of hard work but thanks to be perseverance when I finished I felt very satisfied.
