Imperial Department of Military Research IT-O Interrogator Droid
Source: The Essential Guide to Droids (Del Rey, 1999)
I have received word that at least one member of the Finalizer crew cannot seem to keep their mouth shut when it comes tonthis year's Secret Santa gift exchange.
Now, I don't personally know the identity of the guilty party or parties, but I have six interrogation droids currently searching the ship who are about to find out.
Stop trying to ruin the fun. Straighten up and fly right or suffer the consequences.
Gonna try to make flu shot season quicker and easier (for me) next year.
Ordered a bunch of interrogation droids so I can convert them to vaccination droids. All I really have to do is replace the juice in the needles, easy-peasy.
As an added bonus, my patients don’t even have to stop by the medbay. I can just program the droids to patrol the halls and stab any passers-by they can catch.
Lets see how fast the officers can run.
Well, the interrogation droids haven't found the Secret Santa blabbermouth yet, but they DID find a few crew members who admitted to leaving the refresher without washing their hands. So THOSE guys will be bypassing re-education and heading straight to the brig to atone for their crimes.
Look. We mostly live on a SHIP in SPACE with RECYCLED AIR and LIMITED MEDICAL SUPPLIES. Let's try to keep the spread of germs low by at least applying the bare minimum of good hygiene, yeah?
On imperial chemical torture
As my leukaemia treatment proceeds and I have been observing numerous people going through medication, my respect for Leia Organa and Kanan Jarrus, as well as all other people who encountered imperial interrogation droids, is steadily growing. I don't want to say that medical treatment is the same thing as torture, obviously. But I came to know how easily chemicals make you, well, surrender. And resisting chemicals in illness and torture is quite similar in one thing: You Are Meant Not To Give Up. As I observe, I got it reallllllllly easy. Plus I'm relatively young, strong, calm and optimistic. But there are people whose reactions to medication are very violent and unpleasant. And what I learned about myself is definitely- that it's very very easy to just let go. Your head spins, you feel weak and you're certain it will never end - it's quite difficult to not subside to all this and remain calm, and to smile and be polite to nice nurses. And, well, you know, they all really want to help you through it, not to force the information out of you. I can't imagine how incredibly strong was this girl who resisted whatever toxic waste coursed through her veins. And this not-exactly-trained almost-Jedi. I can confirm that you really, really can't struggle against chemistry - you can only try and control your thinking and your reactions, and it's hard for anyone whom I asked, and not everyone feels well enough to even try. And I can't even think how evil you have to be to think you could do something like this to other person to hurt them.
