i'm so tired of people acting as if talking about oppression that transmascs, enben, and intersex folks experience automatically means you don't think transmisogyny is real.

this might be shocking, but everyone that isn't cis or perisex can experience transandrophobia, exorsexism, intersexism, and transmisogyny-- hell, even pericis people can experience them. it comes free with living in a pericis patriarchy.

most of you have probably seen the "this is the future liberals want" image with the "kicky daytime drag looks" rebuttal. if you havent, here it is http://blackness-by-your-side.tumblr.com/post/157897026392/my-utopia ive already commented why i dont like that post, but i keep seeing it so id like to reiterate and elaborate. i believe the drag queen in the photo has spoken about it, and it's been confirmed that they are a drag queen. however, it doesn't appear that the commenter had any way of knowing that. the person could have been a transfeminine person, or an intersex woman who wasn't trans, but whose features are perceived as being more masculine. what im trying to say is, trans and intersex women should be able to walk around in dresses without being assumed to be in drag. drag is primarily a performance, and seeing someone who you perceive as masculine wearing a dress and calling it drag suggests the femininity of trans and intersex women is there for entertainment. since drag is typically associated with "men in dresses", many women would also consider this to be misgendering.
