I finished book 2 yesterday after taking a test for one of my courses. And I started book 3, "Record of a Spaceborn Few" last night as well.
So far in this series I noticed that each book can stand alone, so you could read the books out of order, but I enjoy reading them in order.
Each book introduces you to great characters faced with unique challenges to overcome. I will admit I had hoped for more character overlap between the books, but it makes sense the lack of overlap. I have a feeling that perhaps in this third book, that desire may be answered.
