Japan. I’ve always, always wanted to go, and it would hands-down be my first choice destination to visit.

Herbal Tea... You’re at a candle shop. What scented candle do you buy?

My favorite candle is Illume’s “Woodfire” scent! Other favorites are Thymes’s “Frasier Fir,” and I’m also partial to sandalwood, cinnamon, and earthy scents.

3. what is the most obscure obsession that you have?

hm, i dont think i really have any obscure obsessions beyond being a fan of some fairly obscure book series

4. what is the strangest object in your house? 

i made a mask in middle school for an art class thats just a blank face with angsty poetry written on it and a pencil stabbed through it. its really creepy and my dad has it hung up in his office.

8. what is the oddest rumor you’ve heard?

its not really a rumor but the only thing i can think about is when my 5th roommate told us about his previous roommate who was dating his sister

14. what is your favorite strange but true fact?

all figs have dead wasps inside of them

15. what is the weirdest thing you’ve ever seen an animal do?

most recently, rachels cat was terrified of my umbrella and would hiss at it if we put it near her. she also has an obsession with nats jean purse?

🐹 what are some of your favourite Pokémon and why?

Okay, so I like Gengar. A lot. Like they’re my fave. Because they’re super creepy, but also like if you are a good trainer they are v loyal and that’s my kinda deal. aaaaaand I like Vulpix, Growlithe, and Flareon because when I was younger I loved fire types sO MUCH and this crew seemed like they’d make good pets.

🎁 what never fails to make you happy?

my friends succeeding at things and getting what they want out of life. it’s nice to see other people happy. I get v emotional. ALSO, chillin and watching Netflix with my pals (I miss the RMC crew so much)

(this is a question for nERDS, jk we all know being a nerd is good) okay, um…I haven’t read a lot lately so I can’t remember quotes (sorry), but I liked The House of the Scorpion a lot. Um, I really liked Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban when I read it. This next book was not that great but in middle school I liked Sweetblood which is about this diabetic girl and also vampire subculture and I was like wow this is v interesting and vaguely relevant to my life (except I was not that into vampire subculture, I just found it a cool thing to know about). Here is a quote from that book to further my embarrassment: “Blood is my friend. Without it my cells shrivel. Without it I die….Blood is my enemy. It carries death to my cells.” Also there was some stuff implying her undead status on account of her diabetes, but I can’t really remember what that was exactly. tbh, I read a lot and don’t remember most of it also I had poor taste in books for a v long time.

About majoring in French with little experience: I'm American, and I've studied French for 9 years. However, I didn't actually decide to major it until the 6th. I spent my junior year abroad in Nice and got a C1 diploma, and despite my French professor telling me that my writing is basically grad school level, I'm still learning the language. It will be a lot of work, and you won't end up fluent, but you'll definitely become proficient, and I've never regretted my decision, if that's any help!

That sounds awesome! Congrats on your C1 diploma! 😊

And I 100% agree with you. I’ve been learning French for half of my life (I even live in a French speaking country albeit not a French speaking region), and there is still SO MUCH to learn. 

If anyone else wants to share their experience in majoring or minoring in French, I’d gladly reblog/post it here. I’ll probably soon make a more detailed post myself. 😃
