On my way to Vermont. Intervale, NH.
The Swiss Chalets Village Inn in Intervale, New Hampshire is alive and well. I stayed here over the summer and was able to get a few then & now shots. It doesn’t look too different than it did in 1962 when it opened! It was remodeled in 2008, but they still kept the same adorable, rustic Swiss charm.🇨🇭 I highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area!

The other day, I caught a returning Snow Train at Intervale, New Hampshire with the great mass of Mount Washington looming 18 miles to the North. Electric fence guards the cast iron plate from a Lauter grand piano in a farm field on the Intervale. Lauter, founded in New Jersey, made and sold pianos from the 1860s to 1960s. Wonder what the story is behind this piece? You can read about the Lauter piano company here:
