So so happy it’s Friday. Just very emotional and tired.
Thankfully just a morning full of injections (unless if emergencies pop up), two meetings and hopefully can leave at a decent time…

What I’m learning about learning in my “week of WWOOFers”
It’s interviews week!
This week and next, I am meeting folks who’ve travelled out to work on farms. The question is, what do they get out of it?
I’ve met three people already. I’m skipping ahead, but am just posting snippets of what I’m collecting. I’m putting them up here in no particular order.
We tend to think learning is about the moment of the transformation. But transformation doesn’t happen if one is not oriented towards it, for the right contexts to bring the right impressions to the surface, for that right transformation.
The decision-making prior to the trip in some ways, was equally if not more important than the trip itself. C today observed that he might have learnt more clicking around on the internet, reading up about each farm, than he did in the nine months of farm work in five different farms. There was a series of steps before the experience itself, that prepared him for the lesson he was to learn from the experience—without these he would not have learnt much; in fact, this is what makes every person’s experience on a trip different. Each step we take is a preparation towards the next, bigger lesson in our lives. We are always orienting closer to something.
SAD FACE STILL. I'M SO CHOKED. I should just transfer back and work there LOLOLOL.
