Lin Manuel Miranda Knows His Stuff!!

That fact the Lin Manuel Miranda references other musicals in his musicals kills me!!! Here are a few for the uneducated: 

- opening of In the Heights (ITH) is the beat from “America” from West Side Story just a different pitch

- the freaking dress and trio choice of the schuyler sisters is like the same as the Heathers musical

- The line “it’s too darn hot like my man Cole Porter said” from ITH, a song from Kiss Me Kate 

- This line from “Right Hand Man” from Hamilton; “now I’m the model of a modern major general” just gotta throw in some Pirates of Penzance!
