Summary: Matthew wants to learn to cook a meal for Alice’s birthday. Jean offers to help him and misunderstandings occur as they attempt to keep it a secret from Alice, who is convinced something else is going on entirely.

I'm pretty sure the ribbons change in season 2 as well. I could be wrong ��

s1 vs s2. s2 is in the correct order, unless the order changed halfway through 1959. For some reason in s1 he had two royal victorican medals, one worn incorrectly and the mystery medal down on the bottom right. I think the entire bottom row may be incorrectly spaced on the bar? It looks a little off to me. they also took away his defence medal (s1, row 3, second medal) which would make sense because it’s a british medal not an australian one, lol.

THANK YOU SO SO MUCH to everybody who read and liked and commented on my new fic. The two stories I’ve written since my bit of a hiatus have gotten more feedback than my stories usually did before, both here and on AO3, and it makes me feel like reclaiming the fandom has just made everybody kinder and more appreciative of each other. You’re all the best. I’m happy to be back.

I just have this sneaking suspicion that Matthew is only going to be in one episode (same outfit in all the promo pics I've seen of him), and that will be a let down for me.
