I'm super new to witchcraft and sigils so this might be a silly question, but can you charge a sigil by burning it? like you burn a sigil you've drawn on paper then add the ashes the soil you're putting in a jar as part of a spell or something like that. thanks!

No worries, you’ve got to learn from somewhere. Yes, burning sigils is a very common and quick way to charge them. I don’t actually do any spells or anything, just sigils, but I don’t see why you couldn’t use it. If you want a more informed answer for the spell part and maybe ideas how to use the ashes, try asking @thesigilwitch. She does sigils and spellwork stuff and is always super helpful.
