So, anyone who's followed me on here for a year or more probably knows I tend to do a big ol' blu-ray based holiday movie marathon, with some kinda "clever" name, making my way (loosely) from least to most favorite, and usually a couple new (to me) each year. Well, tbh, this year- I'm doing the same thing again. 😏 I'm starting this year with an "In the Spirit Preamble", consisting of a couple non-holiday movies that just feel seasonally appropriate, and several that I only have on DVD (not blu-ray/4K). *The bear is unrelated. 🌲 Blu Christmas Holiday Movie Asplosion 2022: In the Spirit Preamble! ⛄ March of the Penguins Hugo He-Man & She-Ra: A Christmas Special Bah, Humduck! A Looney Tunes Christmas A Christmas Carol (w/Patrick Stewart) Garfield's Thanksgiving & A Garfield Christmas A Muppets Christmas - Letters to Santa A Muppet Family Christmas 🦌 The first two aren't holiday films, but still feel appropriate to me. The He-Man & She-Ra one is classic nonsense (& not actually good). Bah, Humduck! is better than you might expect. The Patrick Stewart Christmas Carol is pretty alright, and very Patrick Stewart. The Garfield specials have some annoying garbage songs that try to hard, but are otherwise pretty enjoyable. Letters to Santa is on the lower end of Muppet Christmas fare, but would've worth it for the Nathan Lane & Bobo stuff alone.
