I think I need to get away from where I work. It's toxic.

Our reviews manager told me the other day that when he reviews my decisions he'll try and keep it professional instead of making it personal. He kind of doesn't like me. But that's okay. I don't like him much either. But when I responded with a joke of "well you better not overturn my decision, I worked hard to make it watertight" and he counters with "well I've never hit a woman before but...".

Well.

Worst thing is? I can't tell anyone. And everyone has a go at me for not being nicer to him or seeing how he's such a stand-up guy.

This is the same man who has previously told me that I earn too much for what I do and that my employer is ripping themselves off by paying me, and the same man who shouted at me in the middle of a bar about how I have delusions that I'm better than everyone else, and assured me - with detailed examples - that I most definitely am not.

Wtf do you do with a situation like that. This is the man who decides if my decisions are good or not, if they are lawful, if I have done my job properly. And that's the way he thinks of me. I'll be lucky if I even have a job at this rate.

I am kind of intimidated by jovian12 because one time we were having what I thought was an enlightening discussion on dreams, when is check back and it had suddenly disappeared and I still don't know why, or if she despises me or something. :-( Are we still cool, Jovian? Were we ever cool or was I just an upstart snarkmobile with wings?
