The Three Muskateers.
You were dark. Dark hair, Dark eyes, Dark thoughts, Dark dreams. And although I hated you for using me for my body; the thing I hated most was how you reminded me of my own heartlessness. Though I had outgrown my own darkness, you dredged up, from the deepest parts of my soul, dark desire, dark lust.
You were soft. Soft heart, Soft words, Soft hands, Soft smile. And although you were never technically mine, your playlist made love to mine. And your jokes made me laugh from the inside out. And the things you said had me mulling for days. And the nights we spent together were on my mind for months after. So although I never technically loved you, I will love you until the end of my days. Because you make me soft.
You were bright. Bright baby blues, Bright white teeth. You made me feel like I was a rarity on the face of humanity. You flattered me, fluffing my ego until I gave in. And then you faded; as quickly as you had appeared. And I was glad you had come. You reminded me of my weakness.
