Broken wing
silvershieldmaiden
A raven? Sif frowned as she took in the bird lying on her floor. One of Odins perhaps? No. But he was not wild either. Or so it seemed. “You did not have to break my window, poor thing,” she said lightly, kneeling beside the beast. A broken wing. Well that would not do. “Hmm, it seems you are grounded for the foreseeable future little bird.” She held he hand out to it, allowing it the chance to flee if it wished. “I only wish to help if you’d allow me.”
The unexpected voice caused Diaval to jump, as he twisted his head to see who had snuck up on him. Well, found him. Couldn't fault someone else for his lack of attention. To Diaval's delight, the woman who found him was a vision of beauty with fierce eyes and raven black hair. A warrior, if the blade at her side was any hint.
Diaval crooned pathetically as he hopped onto her hand. If she was willing to help him, then he wasn't going to turn her away. It would take ages for the wing to heal on its own and that wasn't a thought Diaval fancied much.
