"Oh." The noise was diminished as it left Diaval's lips. He had always thought witches were graceful beings, yet this one had somehow managed to knock him over and tumble down with him. "Are you alright?" he asked, his eyes darted over Glinda's face. He wasn't used to being so closed to another person. For some reason it made him feel... warm... excited? The sensation baffled Diaval so he pushed it from his mind.

"If you wouldn't mind, do you think you could move your knee?"

"I see."  Zephine propped herself on the table. "I wish I could travel, seems like fun." she smiled a little. She was a little confused by what he meant by 'mistress'. Did he work for the queen because of her growing ill? or was it someone else? "My name is Zephine by the way, it's nice to meet you Diaval."

"It is quite the adventure," Diaval said as he bit into the apple. "Though a bit dangerous." He gestured to his body, referring to the earlier theft. It would have been much easier if Maleficent allowed him to travel as a bird; but that would make it hard to bring back all of the ingredient that she requested of him. "Still, you get to meet people along the way. Some that are both beautiful and kind."

Hades watched Alexi leave, wondering what business he could possibly have with the other witch, but also not really sure he wanted to know. Sometimes he preferred remaining in the dark about his master’s affairs. “With an unfortunate frequency, really. I wish he wouldn’t. I much prefer spending my time as a cat. More napping, less working. What about you?”

So he was a cat then, a predatory animal. Now it made sense, the uneasy feeling Diaval had in his stomach. Still, being in the same room as a cat was better than a dog. "More often than I'd like," Diaval admitted. "And I've lost track how many shapes I've been transformed into. Though being turned into a dragon was by far the most extreme."

It wasn't very often that Maleficent took visitors, much less ones who were magical. Diaval hung back as the two arrived, only stepping forward as he was introduced. There was something about the familiar; Hades, as he had been introduced; that made Diaval a bit uneasy. He hoped Hades wasn't a dog; dogs were nasty creatures.Then Maleficent and Alexi went to speak in private and the two creatures were left on their own. Diaval glanced over at Hades and tried to figure out what sort of animal he was without actually asking.

"So you're master transforms you quite often as well?"

"They're not meant to be common here, but I guess in the more populated part of the village they are being chased out. Shows you what all they are desperate to steal though." she turned her back to him allowing him to dress without the worry of her watching, "From the food in your hands to the clothes on your back."

"I suppose I should be glad I had nothing more to steal," Diaval said as he shrugged on the coat. He was unaccustomed to thieves, he never had to worry about them when he was a bird. "I'm sorry to impose, but you wouldn't happen to know where I could find food? I'm afraid what little I had was taken from me."
