no way is that Roosevelt ‘Rooster’ Maybelle.. they’re a 40-year-old HUMAN notoriously known for being Forgetful & Addictive but there are some people who have seen them being Encouraging & Spontaneous. if you ask me, they remind me a lot of trying your best, late night trips, and still eating like you're 17 , but that could just be because they’re considered The Reformer around town.

The oldest of two kids
Parents worked on a ranch when he was growing up.
Grew up protective of his little sister, Kennedy. Who was and is still the most important person in his life
The two bonded over music, Rooster even teaching her how to play the guitar, and gifting her his first one.
There was a point of time when he wanted to be a musician, playing in garage bands in his youth, but after graduation things changed. People moved on, grew up, dreams died or changed to new ones.
Through it all he was always supportive of Kennedy as she continued on with her music. Wanting nothing more than to see his baby sister succeed doing what she loved.
He’d never tell her back then, but he’d been reprimanded more than once at jobs during the early years for not showing up or coming in late in order to go see her perform at some music competition.
At 19 he came out as bi to his parents. Their response was just to 'ignore it' and 'we don't talk about it' 'hoping and praying he winds up with a girl and stops this nonsense' vibes. Along with having the belief that it would affect their image. A ‘what would the neighbors think?’ mentality
Was in his 20s when he started doing drugs, not including marijuana which he’d been smoking since high school, this among other things is what led to him having money problems. Racking up debts that he struggled to pay, falling behind on things like rent, bills, and surviving on top ramen and gas station food.
Unlike his parents, Rooster never wanted to leech off of Kennedy’s money or success, so instead of going to her for help, which he knew she’d give, he instead, as a last resort, broke into a house with a friend with the goal to rob the place. Take money and anything else of value that could be split between the two. It was supposed to be a one time job.
It did wind up being a one time job, but that’s because things went sideways and Rooster was arrested.
Was arrested and sentenced on accounts of breaking and entering and drug possession. He earned a consecutive sentence of three years for the B&E and two for the drug possession. Landing him in prison for a total of 5 years.
This happened while Kennedy was becoming a rising star in the country music scene and because of this their parents never went to visit him, afraid that it might bring negative attention and press and affect her career.
The last memory he has of his parents is when he was at the courthouse for sentencing. They didn’t even stay for it, only showed up to express their disappointment in him. His mother even flat out telling him to his face that “they would never have gone through with the pregnancy if they’d known he was going to end up like this.”
Moved to Dallas after his release from prison.
Has been living in the city for the past 6 years
Reunited with Kennedy 5 years ago after she moved as well. Both have gone low/no contact with their parents
