The gangster thrust his knife at Amara. She knocked aside his arm with such speed and ferocity that not only did the knife fly out of his hand, she felt a satisfying crack as her metallic hand came into contact with wrist. The momentum of her blow made him spin on his feet, almost losing his footing, and before he'd fully regained it she'd grabbed the back of his head and smashed it into the wall.

It popped like a watermelon and left a crack in the concrete.

Idiot'd never stood a chance. Even if he'd been able to land a hit on her, subdermal plating covering her throughout would've meant he'd be scraping metal into metal with 'ganic muscle. She flicked her wrist, discarding bits blood and brain and skull from her hand.

Only then did she realize someone'd been watching from the alley's entrance. Her eyes went wide as they fell on the stranger, and instinctively she reached for one of her weapons.

Like his father, Gavriil grew up in the restaurant, working in it at a young age in that way that isn't actually legal due to child labor laws, but people tended to turn a blind eye to since it was a family business and also in the lower district

hoping to help him his parents sent him away to attend Northview, using what extra money they had and still having to take out loans in order to pay the tuition, in hopes that going there would help sort him out.

Gav just found another group to fall into, ones that could afford better drugs and better parties

Sure he wasn't from their world, but he found ways to live and succeed in it. Often working as a middle man in buying the drugs and other substances so the rich kids wouldn't be the ones in trouble if caught buying, or doing things like writing essays for people. Despite giving off the vibe of not caring and slacking off in his classes he could easily whip out a full multi-page essay in an afternoon and get good marks on it.

Currently is attending the local university, where he still does many of the things he did at Northview, such as writing essays and working as the middle man for drug purchases for parties/the richer students, as well as working part time at the family business and at the laundromat in the lower district.

It isn't uncommon for him to show up to work, in class, or elsewhere under the influence of something.

More than once has he been late with rent, paying other bills, etc because he's spent the money on drugs.

casper was never good with emotions even from a young age he struggled regulating them and understanding them, he couldn't understand why he'd feel angry for no reason or sad the next. it eventually got to a point he just shut them down all together

that was when he was a teenager and it made his life hell of a lot worse for it, starting fights randomly, never crying or grieving especially after his best friend had passed in a drunk driving accident that he was involved in when he was in high school

his 'grieving' happened in drinking and refused to go to therapy because he deemed he didn't really "need it"

things seemed to flip for him though when he met clarice and for the first time ever fell in love with someone

he'd have girlfriends in the past, even a boyfriend at one point, but he never really felt anything for them not the way he did clarice so he proposed to her

because of these 'new' feelings (at least to him) he was having a hard time actually commiting to the marriage part of the proposal and after her mom had passed it really only solidified those feelings so after he kept coming up with an excuse after excuse she broke things off with him

for the first time again there was a new feeling and he hated this one, leaving dallas for a while (a few years to be exact) to try and make them go away

he's back now and currently looking for a new job in town trying to steer clear of clarice because he's unsure of if those feelings are still there or not

Phelan started their life as an unwanted surprise. Born on the floor of one of the spare rooms his mother hadn't even known she was pregnant with a second child til she was already well into labor.

Not wanting to seem like the kind of people that just gave up a child when they more than had the means to care for them, they opted to just keep Phelan a secret instead. They had an image to uphold, after all.

They didn't give him a proper name, and was only ever referred to as 'It.' "Did you remember to feed It?" "It needs a bath"

He was taken care of just enough that they wouldn't die, the last thing they needed wasn't someone discovering another kid it was someone discovering a dead one.

Starting at the age of 5 she basically became nothing more than a guinea pig for her older brother. Anytime he expressed wanting an enhancement their parents would sneak her out at night to go to the lower district and pay some doctor off to give her whatever enhancement their son wanted. That way he could see what it would do, and whether or not he still wanted it after a couple of weeks. They would then take the older son to get the best version of it in the upper district.

The years of doing as much as they could to dehumanize them made their decision to use her as their own personal test subject for their spoiled brat of a son even easier.

There were plenty of times where after a few days the brother just decided he no longer had interest in a certain enhancement, leaving Phelan to just have to live with another faulty cybernetic anyways.

By the time Phelan was 14 she already had more enhancements, including prosthetics for body parts that didn't actually need them, than most people would have in their entire lives. Many of these being faulty in one way or another such as cybernetic eyes that often short out, leaving her blind. Sometimes for just seconds, other times for days.

At 17 she was found by Aiden and Knightley Frost in an abandoned building, going through one of those large dumpsters trying to find things that maybe she could use to repair some of the faulty cybernetics that she had been unwilling forced to have and that his parents didn't want to do any maintenance for

Outside of the doctors that had performed all of the enhancements over the years, Aiden and Knightley were the first people not in the family that Phelan ever met.

The two came across Phelan again, having gone to check on her after being concerned about how she behaved during that first interaction. This time finding her in the family home, sitting on the couch completely covered in blood. The bodies of her parents and older brother completely unrecognizable

She's never spoken about what exactly happened

Aiden and Knightley took them in, cleaning up the place and taking care of everything. Covering up what really happened.

Wynona was born to a life-long mafia man and a woman who was not quite up to the task of being a mafioso's wife. She didn't even give her daughter an Italian name to go with her very Italian surname. Wynona is still mad about it.

It would be incorrect to say that she has no positive memories of the brief time that she had both parents in her life. However, it only took a couple of years for her mother to have enough and want out of the mob life, and her absence since then has become a much stronger memory than her presence ever was.

Being born into the Skyport Mafia meant that, from a young age, Wynona knew exactly who she was and where her life was going. She had no problem with that; in fact, she embraced even the most unsavoury parts of the business when she was still a child, becoming proficient with guns before hitting double digits.

When she was seven years old, her father brought home a synth child who had been created by the mafia and left in his care to learn from him. She knew exactly who she was, and having Giovanni in her life didn't change that; it only expanded her identity to include looking out for him. She embraced the role of big sister wholeheartedly and remains fiercely protective of him to this day.

It was when she became a teenager that Wynona took a more active role in the mafia as an enforcer. She didn't necessarily relish violence, or get off on it in the same way that some of the others did, but she remained calm under pressure and had a no-nonsense attitude that made her very efficient at the job.

Being direct is more than a personality trait to her. It is a way of life, and she practices radical honesty to what is almost an extreme. She always says exactly what's on her mind no matter what the consequences are. You would think being that honest wouldn't work when you're a criminal, but apparently people don't actually believe you when you say you're in the mafia with a straight face.

Wynona has never experienced a life outside of the Skyport Mafia and she has absolutely no desire to try. BIOGRAPHY

Scylla came into the world as the result of an affair between a married woman and a man with money who was a little too obsessed with her. Mind you, she was not the product of that affair—it had already ended by the time she was made.

The man, unwilling to accept that the woman had chosen her husband and children over him, decided to have a synth daughter made using her stolen DNA in a misguided attempt to coax his lover back. Obviously, it did not work.

He was now a jilted ex-lover and a single father with a daughter he hadn't even wanted. Nevertheless, he spared no expense when it came to raising her; buying a large house for them in the upper district, hiring the best nannies to look after her, and paying for the most prestigious private schools and personal tutors. He gave Scylla basically anything that she asked for no matter the cost.

Her clearly treasured her, but it was less like how a father treasures a daughter and more like how a wealthy man values his prized possessions. He never said it outright, but Scylla was aware of the fact that because of how she was made, he didn't quite see her as a person. He saw her as his property. But that was fine, because she didn't see him as her father—she saw him as her bank account.

As she got older, and started resembling her mother more, his behaviour toward her got a lot more unnerving. He never crossed any physical boundaries, but he definitely towed the line between what was an acceptable way to act toward his daughter and what was not. He leaned in a little too close to her face when he spoke to her. His hand lingered a little too long on her lower back when he helped her through a door. His eyes lingered on her in a manner that made her feel like she had to put on more clothes. He was, for lack of a better word, creepy.

At the time, her father was a successful entrepreneur who had done what many narcissistic billionaires do once their business is self-sustaining—he had decided to run for public office. Backed by the Big Three, he was elected and held a seat on the city council for most of Scylla's teenage years. During that time, she was almost always at his side, learning everything she could about how to run his company and the many backdoor deals he was making as a councilman.

By the time he was up for reelection, Scylla was 17 years old and already had enough experience to be the one pulling the strings behind the scenes. She was the one who met his constituents. She was the one who knew the names of his volunteers. She was the one who coordinated their public response after one of their campaign events was bombed by the Violet Messengers. And yet, because he couldn't stop himself from being creepy and incompetent, he still lost the election—even with the sympathy vote garnered from getting blown up.

It was around that time that she met Bastián Delbourne for the first time. His family worked for Vanguard Security, and in addition to having incredibly useful connections at his disposal, he was also as intelligent and shrewd as she was. It didn't hurt the package that he was also easy on the eyes and wholly enamoured with her in a way that she enjoyed. The pair quickly became an item.

Since then, her father has shifted into being a lobbyist for the Big Three, while she has gone on to attend law school. His attitude to her remains questionable, but Scylla insists on keeping him around because he is still useful to her as a scapegoat. She will end his existence the minute it stops serving a purpose.

She has known for a while that her biological mother is the mother of Cosima and Jackson Devine and that they are her half-siblings. However, she is holding on to that information for now—at least until it suits her to make it public.

Pearson grew up in the upper district, the human son of a set of twins. His parents making plans to have his brother created almost as soon as it was discovered that his mother was pregnant with him. The reasoning being so that he would always have someone there to keep him from being lonely and to grow up with as both his parents had been only children and never got to experience having a sibling. 

Even as the two grew older, gaining a little sister and their own groups of friends, the two still remained mostly inseparable.

Parents divorced when he was around 4, the two keeping on good terms, but just having fallen out of love with each other and choosing not to stay together just for the sake of the kids.

Wanting another kid, specifically a daughter, Pearson’s mother had the twin’s little sister created around a year after the divorce.

The twins' parents began talking again, beyond just the standard conversations involving the boys and standard pleasantries. When they were 11 the two officially got back together and were married again a few months after their 13th birthday.

Started getting involved in activism as a teenager and even more so into his early 20s. This included both individual and group activism. Civil disobedience, protests, etc. Has been arrested for his activism, but never for anything what wouldn’t have had him in jail for more than a few days or easily out on bail. 

Wound up getting involved with the Violet Messengers during the early days of it starting up, but left after two years. This being both because it became too much, but mostly due to the birth of his daughter (who is now 4). It wasn’t that he stopped believing in the cause, but rather of a realization of “oh shit I am responsible for another human now”

This is his first year teaching at the university, working as a Professor of Poetry in the English department and helps out with C.U on campus, though he is not involved in activism to the same degree as he used to be. In fact most students would probably be shocked to discover his past as he tends to give off unassuming professor vibes.
