Ken was used to there being stragglers out of the office but he knew Victor tended to work a bit longer than most people. However he wasn't expecting to see someone come out of his brother's office. So when two collided he nearly jumped out of his skin.

"shit sorry, I mean- no you're good..." He shook his head shrugging "I'm uh here to collect the workaholic that is my brother...was he in his office?" He pointed to the door Jaron had come from. He was low-key looking Jaron over trying to determine if Victor was in talks to sign him to the label or if he was a sycophant finally leaving for the night. The number one rule had always been not to talk to Mikhail. Even over all the other members of the family, their little brother was the one who was supposed to be completely off limits. Antosha never even understood why because it wasn't like the youngest of the three siblings would even recognize him.

It'd always been the hardest one for Anton too. The others had chosen that he wasn't worth having in the family, Mikhail hadn't. He hadn't even been given a choice. They'd spotted the pre-teen and noticed as he dropped something going past one of the stalls as he was on his way back to the one he shared with Lizzie. Pearson grew up in the upper district, the human son of a set of twins. His parents making plans to have his brother created almost as soon as it was discovered that his mother was pregnant with him. The reasoning being so that he would always have someone there to keep him from being lonely and to grow up with as both his parents had been only children and never got to experience having a sibling. 

Even as the two grew older, gaining a little sister and their own groups of friends, the two still remained mostly inseparable.

Parents divorced when he was around 4, the two keeping on good terms, but just having fallen out of love with each other and choosing not to stay together just for the sake of the kids.

Wanting another kid, specifically a daughter, Pearson’s mother had the twin’s little sister created around a year after the divorce.

The twins' parents began talking again, beyond just the standard conversations involving the boys and standard pleasantries. When they were 11 the two officially got back together and were married again a few months after their 13th birthday.

Started getting involved in activism as a teenager and even more so into his early 20s. This included both individual and group activism. Civil disobedience, protests, etc. Has been arrested for his activism, but never for anything what wouldn’t have had him in jail for more than a few days or easily out on bail. 

Wound up getting involved with the Violet Messengers during the early days of it starting up, but left after two years. This being both because it became too much, but mostly due to the birth of his daughter (who is now 4). It wasn’t that he stopped believing in the cause, but rather of a realization of “oh shit I am responsible for another human now”

This is his first year teaching at the university, working as a Professor of Poetry in the English department and helps out with C.U on campus, though he is not involved in activism to the same degree as he used to be. In fact most students would probably be shocked to discover his past as he tends to give off unassuming professor vibes.

Things like a new job and a small raise or promotion putting them in the bracket to afford to rent a place in the middle district, but then an increase in rent causing them to have to move right back to the lower. 

They were finally able to stay in the middle district after his sister was old enough to get a job and help pay for a better place. 

Their mom took the hands off approach when it came to the Walsh kids. Acknowledging their existence, but then never helping out when they were struggling, even if it was just to offer the two a place to stay while their father figured things out and got back on his feet financially. 

Bought them things and paid for trips as bribes, creating a pattern of buying something to make up for something else. 

Given how young Ryder had been at the time of the divorce, this was something that had been normalized for him growing up.

Built by a couple in the upper district Travis was 3 years old when he was made part of a package deal with the Skyport Mafia. Money and a future soldier in exchange for protection. It wasn’t even that his parents couldn’t have just paid the money, it was that even by the age of 3 they found him to be a little too off for their liking

Was adopted into the Upp family. A family that had two brothers that served as soldiers in the mafia. He was given to the older of the two who was on his second marriage and, so far, had not had any kids from. 

His new mother renamed him thinking the name he’d been given at birth sounded stupid especially when yelling it. 

Without an actual middle name Travis gave himself the middle name Seven when he was 9 due to it being his favorite number and enjoying the angle that is created when the two lines of the number meet.

As soon as he was old enough he started being taught how to shoot, use other weapons, and forms of hand to hand combat. His father even putting him through ‘training so he would be used to it if one day he was ever caught and tortured for information. 

Travis seemed to delight in all of this. Sure he screamed and sometimes cried as a natural reflex, but more often than not he’d take it all while cackling or egging it on. Sometimes even coming to his father’s office and presenting him with one of the torture kits for a lesson. It didn’t feel the same doing it himself; he’d tried. 

During one of his first jobs he wound up shooting one of their own, injuring but not killing, due to being told to ‘shoot anyone came that through the door’ that he was guarding and taking that very literally. Doing so with no hesitation or seeing who the person was first. 

This incident among other things had them rethinking what Travis’ position and job within the family should be. While unintentional he’d proved more than once to be a liability to others. He was moved around other places, but nothing seemed to work. Even if he was technically good at it there was always something that had them questioning putting him there..

Eventually they stumbled on a job that would work perfectly. Travis would work as a cleaner, going in and taking care of/disposing of bodies and other evidence when needed.

The second and youngest son of Russian immigrant parents. 

After working and saving up his parents opened up Dasha’s in the lower district

Like his older brother, Konstantin, he grew up in the restaurant, working in it at a young age in that way that isn't actually legal due to child labor laws, but people tended to turn a blind eye to since it was a family business and also in the lower district

With his brother being the oldest, the family business was going to be passed down to him, which was fine with Maks as he had no desire to go into the restaurant business. 

Instead Maksim went into construction

Was 19 when he and his girlfriend of 4 years found out she was pregnant.

They got married during her pregnancy and Fenix was born when he was 20 and she was 19

While he wasn’t always the type to do things like say “I love you” he did his best to show it through his actions. Providing for the family and giving them as good of a life as he was able to.

His life started to shatter and break apart three years ago when his son didn’t come home after a night out and none of his friends knew of his whereabouts either. 

A missing person’s report was filed, but after some time the police stopped looking.

Maybe if Fenix had been a missing person from the upper district they wouldn’t have given up the search so easily. 

Even after the police had called off the search he still went out each day looking for him or any trace of where he might have gone. 

He saved up to hire a PI. This taking up much of what savings they had.

During this time his wife had slipped further and further away. She barely ate or left the house, and like he’d always tried to Maksim did his best to take care of her, even to the point of disregarding himself and his own needs and putting on a strong face for her. 

It wasn’t enough though, and one day when Maksim got home from going out and picking up dinner from his parent’s restaurant he found her in their bedroom, laying on blood soaked sheets. 

Maybe if he’d gotten home a few minutes earlier or maybe if he hadn’t left at all the outcome would have been different. 

Maksim became both a shell of a man, simply going through the motions, while also becoming even more obsessed with finding his son. He turned to alcohol to cope, but even that didn’t help. Sure it numbed the pain for a little while, but it always came back when the buzz wore off. 

By some miracle the PI he’d hired found Fenix. 

The two have since been reunited and Maksim had to find a way to tell him that his mother had died during the time he was gone, though he lied about how, just saying she’d gotten sick. He couldn’t bear to tell him the truth not after what he’d been through. 

He does his best to take care of Fenix, letting them go at whatever pace Fenix needs to when it comes to things. He’ll encourage but not force.

Maksim has made it an effort to actually say the words “I love you” or “Lyublyu tebya” to his son more, having spent the past three years wishing he’d said it more and somewhere in the back of his mind afraid that he’d never get to again.

The oldest of two kids

Parents worked on a ranch when he was growing up.

Grew up protective of his little sister, Kennedy. Who was and is still the most important person in his life

The two bonded over music, Rooster even teaching her how to play the guitar, and gifting her his first one.

There was a point of time when he wanted to be a musician, playing in garage bands in his youth, but after graduation things changed. People moved on, grew up, dreams died or changed to new ones. 

Through it all he was always supportive of Kennedy as she continued on with her music. Wanting nothing more than to see his baby sister succeed doing what she loved. 

He’d never tell her back then, but he’d been reprimanded more than once at jobs during the early years for not showing up or coming in late in order to go see her perform at some music competition. 

At 19 he came out as bi to his parents. Their response was just to 'ignore it' and 'we don't talk about it' 'hoping and praying he winds up with a girl and stops this nonsense' vibes. Along with having the belief that it would affect their image. A ‘what would the neighbors think?’ mentality

Was in his 20s when he started doing drugs, not including marijuana which he’d been smoking since high school, this among other things is what led to him having money problems. Racking up debts that he struggled to pay, falling behind on things like rent, bills, and surviving on top ramen and gas station food. 

Unlike his parents, Rooster never wanted to leech off of Kennedy’s money or success, so instead of going to her for help, which he knew she’d give, he instead, as a last resort, broke into a house with a friend with the goal to rob the place. Take money and anything else of value that could be split between the two. It was supposed to be a one time job.

It did wind up being a one time job, but that’s because things went sideways and Rooster was arrested. 

Was arrested and sentenced on accounts of breaking and entering and drug possession. He earned a consecutive sentence of three years for the B&E and two for the drug possession. Landing him in prison for a total of 5 years.

This happened while Kennedy was becoming a rising star in the country music scene and because of this their parents never went to visit him, afraid that it might bring negative attention and press and affect her career. 

The last memory he has of his parents is when he was at the courthouse for sentencing. They didn’t even stay for it, only showed up to express their disappointment in him. His mother even flat out telling him to his face that “they would never have gone through with the pregnancy if they’d known he was going to end up like this.”

Moved to Dallas after his release from prison.
