tw // parental death, alcoholism, unexpected death
[ ʜᴇᴀᴅᴄᴀɴᴏɴs ] — Wyatt had always been a man of action, one that could easily make a decision and set himself on the proper course to finish out his plan. He obtained this way of thinking from his father, a surgeon at Roxton General until the end of his life. Wyatt was the eldest of his siblings when his father passed, himself being the tender age of fourteen and his two younger siblings being only ten and eight years old. Though his mother never pushed him to enter into the medical field, Wyatt believed it would have been what his father wanted - another Doctor Cassidy to take over where he had left off. And so, after graduating at the top of his class in high school, Wyatt attended a few years of post-secondary schooling in N. Roxton before travelling on his own to attend John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
— He took a position practicing medicine in Baltimore after graduating and spent the majority of his late twenties and early thirties rising in the ranks as best he could. However, when his mother became ill, Wyatt made the bold decision to leave his job behind and move back to Michigan. Over the next two years, he would watch his mother die from her disease, fight back and forth with his younger siblings over what to do with her possessions and, ultimately, he would fall in love with a woman he hadn’t connected with since he left N. Roxton. Eventually, a job would open up at Roxton General and Wyatt would decide to move into this position, also moving in with the new-found love of his life.
— Another two years would go by and, while their relationship wasn’t perfect, Wyatt found himself ready and willing to ask this woman to marry him. However, on the night of the planned proposal, she would get into an unexpected accident on the way to Roxton General to meet Wyatt after a shift. Little did he know on his way out of the hospital, he would be met with the face of his soon-to-be fiancée, laying lifeless on a fluorescent yellow stretcher.
— Wyatt now spends the majority of his time working, still finding himself living in the apartment that the two shared together. He developed a drinking problem not longer after the death of his greatest love and continues to struggle with it, pretending that it isn’t an issue for him even though everybody around him is aware of it. He is as sociable as a Physician can be and, when he isn’t at work or at the bar, enjoys taking long walks with his dog Luna along the snow covered paths of N. Roxton.
