Happy STS! Do your OCs have siblings? If they do, what is their relationship like?~writing blog @paula-writes~
I struggle a lot to write siblings, which is why nobody has siblings. I freely admit that this is because I have five siblings and 1) I cannot keep up with these weirdos enough for them to affect my everyday life, and 2) Oh my God imagine being an only child. The blissful joy and silence.
That said, here is a compilation of yves. canon sibling relationships.
Eliza has two siblings but they are rarely if ever mentioned. She tries to stay out of their line of fire.
Avner has three siblings whom he was basically in charge of taking care of full-time. He thinks about them (and his parents) often.
Elle has, to my knowledge, an older brother and older sister. I say “to my knowledge” because it has been a shamefully long time since I sat down to work at this draft and they come up mostly in flashbacks. The siblings, I mean, not Elle. Oh yes and Elle looked up to them but was not really an overachiever and they definitely were.
I guess... depends... on a lot of things... but I will quit here for now.
THE ONE AND ONLY UNIVERSE OF KAY RAINIER
Atlas had a lot of adoptive and one biological sibling(s), but he’s only in contact with Leah now for his own peace of mind. She essentially raised him, and she misses him every time he leaves for work.
Constantine has/had two brothers; Ariel and Milton (both younger, and in that order.) Milton was killed at the age of eight, and Ariel seceded from the family as an adult. Milton’s death was nearly objectively not Constantine’s fault, but Ariel’s leaving is less clear-cut.
Looking back... I realize it is very strange to not have siblings. The majority of my characters, going off of actual statistics, should have siblings. I do feel like other characters (eg Ahava, Ephraim, ) might have siblings that are just not mentioned because they are not relevant in the modern day, which is interesting in and of itself.
