Hey I saw you answer an ask about shigadabi where you said dabi has already questioned how afo treats tomura. Could you elaborate on that because I don’t remember that happening and as a shigadabi shipper (it’s my otp) I’m surprised I missed it.

Sure! It's a pretty small moment in chapter 221 and I missed it the first few times until someone else pointed it out (I can't remember which post it was though). But it's one of the few times Dabi has shown some level of consideration or kindness towards the other LOV members (the only other occasion that I can recall being during the Hawks vs. Twice confrontation).

When Gigantomachia appears, Ujiko explains that he's a "gift" from AFO for Tomura. Dabi then says this:

Which is him questioning why exactly AFO would consider this a gift for Tomura. Although that can be brushed off on its own as him just being sarcastic, Ujiko then explains that Tomura has to prove he's worthy by defeating Gigantomachia, and Dabi is the first to react and says this:

Which is... well, it's uncharacteristic of him to lump himself in with the others as well as to try so hard for someone else's benefit (especially when it comes to combat, because Dabi tries to avoid fighting as much as possible). It's most likely a result of Dabi empathizing with Shigaraki in that moment considering his own past of trying his hardest to please Endeavor and prove that he's worthy.

These two lines put together do sort of imply that he was questioning AFO and his treatment of Tomura, and that he empathizes with Tomura when it comes to being under AFO's care.

Ok what about shigadabi high school or college au where shiggy has a tiny little crush on his aizawa sensei and dabi hates aizawa because of that lol

I just love the idea of all the students swooning at shiggy and he just has a crush on the teacher lol

THIS IS SO CUTE AND FUNNY I LOVE IT

I just really love oblivious Shigaraki in general tbh. Like, yes, sexy confident Shigaraki who knows that everyone wants him and who uses it for his advantage is AMAZING, but sometimes you just want him to be dumb and dense.

I also love the trope of Dabi intensely and immediately hating all the people that Tomura admires or has a crush on. I use it A LOT in fics, especially with Stain. So Dabi going from “Aizawa is pretty cool I guess” to “Aizawa is a dumb overrated poser and I hate him” in a heartbeat because of Shig’s crush is *chef’s kiss*

And same for everyone else in the class tbh. Like, Aizawa used to be a pretty popular teacher, but Tomura said that he liked him (1) time and now Spinner, Chisaki, Jin, Natsuo and everyone else in the class is like “peace was never an option” they collectively decided that he is the worst (not really though but you know what I mean XD)

Poor Aizawa has no clue about the whole thing obviously, he just vibing and doing his best. He doesn’t understand why half of his class suddenly looks at him with such angry eyes, he just wants to nap. Let him rest.

And like the funniest thing in all of this is that Shig isn’t even that serious about this crush, like, that’s his teacher so of course, he isn’t going to pursue it in any way. It’s literally just a harmless crush, he is fantasising and daydreaming about it and that’s it. So he doesn’t understand why Dabi is suddenly acting all “tsundere” with him and writing “Aizawa fucking sucks” all over his notebook. Lord help these boys, they are so stupid ...

What do you think about a fic in which tomura is a gorgeous, witty, talented and overall just a very desirable (as always) Prince. Before he takes over the kingdom, the king (half baked potato man) wants him to get married to a worthy suitor. So basically a bunch of characters like dabi, spinner, twice, hawks, natsuo, chisaki, etc have to fight for his hand in marriage. I just want to see these guys simp over shiggy lol. Also when I say fight I don’t mean literal fighting, atleast that shouldn’t be all there is to it. Who will win tomura’s heart? *cough*dabi*cough*

Also they all don’t have to be princes so they can all be distinct and also I think tomura would hate it if only people with certain titles were allowed.

This is such I god-tier concept, I am in love. All of the suitors fighting for the most chaotic prince in the lad. This feels like a dating game and I love it. You have Dabi the exiled prince from the land of fire, you have Spinner the elite knight and head of the royal guard (maybe Tomura’s bodyguard?), you have Natsuo, Dabi’s brother and rightful heir to the land of fire, Chisaki the prime minister from the rival country, maybe even Miruko as the leader of another clan of knights ...

There would be so much courting and flirting, so many secret rendezvous in the garden at night, so many sexually charged dances during the ball, so many love letter written, so many promises of running away together to another land far away from everything ... and Tomura is just vibing in the middle of all of this, making out with every single one of them and getting a lot secret neck kisses while pressed against the wall. Good for him <3

What do you think would happen if L lawleit and tomura shigaraki ever met? Do you think they'd get along?

Okay, okay, okay, let me explain ... I’ve been spreading Shigaraki x L (or Sticky Fingers as I like to call them) propaganda since probably 2018, so now is my time to shine.

A lot of people already talked about how similar they can be, both in design and characterization. They’re both pretty boys with big wide eyes and fluffy hair, more or less fitting the aloof genius trope by being simultaneously very childish and very competent. They also have their differences of course, the most important one being that L considers himself to be on the right side of the law and arrests and despises criminals, and Shig is a chaotic destructive icon.

So if they were to meet, it would make some sparks for sure! I think that they would almost immediately dislike each other BUT it would lay the perfect groundwork for the most iconic from enemies to rivals to lovers relationship of all time. Light? Don’t know her, Shig x L is the cat and mouse sexy mind games ship that we deserve.

I like to imagine an AU where L is part of the BNHA world but is actually a quirkless genius. He was born without a quirk, but his brilliant mind still allowed him to make his fortune and to become the most famous detective in the world (very sexy of him methinks). There would be a lot of theorising about what his quirk actually is because people simply can’t believe that he could be so competent without one, but no my dude ... this is just (1) very smart frog. 

And so in this world, Shig is pretty much our canon Shig. I feel like L would have had his eyes on him from the very beginning, even when every other hero was saying that he was just manchild and not much of threat because could SEE the potential in him. And yes, I know that Shig is not smart in the way that Light is, but I think that’s what would make the whole thing so fun. Shig isn’t trying to hide, quite the contrary he loves the attention! But he is also smart about it, and above all, he is chaotic and unpredictable. So I think that in that regard, he could be a lot of trouble for L who is more used to reading people’s mind and predicting their actions.

How can I explain this? If the whole thing with Overhaul happened in that AU as well, L could predict that Shig will make a move on Overhaul after his defeat, but maybe not how or when if that makes sense.

L: Okay so we captured Overhaul and he is neutralized and on his way to jail. But now Shigaraki Tomura will probably use this time of chaos to make a move against him since he would want that erasing quirk bullet. We know that he had two of his people infiltrate Overhaul’s ranks so they might be the ones who will make a move ... or maybe he wills send the compress man and the shapeshifter breaking him out of jail ... but he is very wanted so he will probably stay in the shadows to ...

Policeman: Sir we just received information that Shigaraki Tomura has attacked the Overhaul transport team in broad daylight in a very public highway. He reportedly jumped from a moving vehicle into a police car while screaming like a mad man and then ripped Overhaul’s arms off him and made the whole car explode and walked away.

L: .......... he what now?

So yeah! And there’s also the fact that they’re both incredibly arrogant, so that would add a lot of flavour to the whole thing. Shig would be DELIGHTED to have a very famous detective focusing on him specifically and he would definitely leave little messages for him to flirt like “better luck next time my darling detective ;)”. Same for L, every time he manages to upset Shig’s plan or to get in his way, he makes sure to let him know as well like “you can’t win them all Shigaraki Tomura ;)”. And of course, if they were to ever meet face to face ... oh boy ... they would both be like “what an insufferable bastard, I can’t believe I’m going to sleep with him >:(”

Anyway, I know that this ship is basically just me and my little canoe but I will keep canoeing around until the end because that’s self-care baby.

So I was thinking about something good as one does (not because I’m obsessed with the fic or anything, no defenitely not that) and a particular scene came to my mind

“Well would you look at us …,” Dabi commented, spreading his legs ahead of him, “To nameless boys walking away from there shitty dads, and finding each other behind a funfair next to a trash can probably full of raccoons…” “We’re not exactly nameless though …”“Shhhh,” Dabi whispered putting his index against Tomura’s giggling lips, “I’m being poetic right now … I might write a song about this.”

Yep so I was wondering about the song, do you have anything planned out for it?

First of all, I loooooove receiving questions about Something Good, so don’t even feel bad about sending them, it’s always just so so so fun to discuss the fic with people!!! (And I’m very flattered that you think about it so much :D)

As for your question ... okay so it’s technically a bit of a spoiler, so I’m going to answer under the cut just in case some people coming across this ask would like to avoid it! (It’s not a big deal or anything, but just in case!)

Okay so do you remember during the last chapter (during Tomura’s birthday) when Dabi said that he had another gift in mind for Tomura, but that it wasn’t quite ready yet? Well, here you go! :D Dabi is working on the song! He wants it to be a perfect gift for Tomura, so he didn’t feel confident sharing it just yet!

To be completely honest with you, Dabi is struggling with the song because I’m also struggling with the song! I’m not a musician by any means, but I still want to try to come up with something original for the story, something that would really encapsulate their journey together! So yeah XD we’ll see how that goes!

"they both simply strongly believe in the inherent homoerotism of sword fighting." I have no words , this is by far my favourite line in the fic.

Ok first, parent trap anon you are a true intellectual. Thank you for introducing us to this au. And I would like to make a few additions to the au .

So we talked about toga bonding with ochako and tomura bonding with dabi but what about toga and tomura bonding with kurogiri and compress?

So in the beginning kurogiri was with tomura and they're both kinda introverted and then we have toga and compress who are completely extroverted. So when we swap the parents we can see tomura doing exciting activities with compress like idk going to a concert or something (I'm not good at coming up with this stuff) and toga doing more homely things with kurogiri like going on a picnic in which kurogiri cooks and both tomura and toga enjoy getting to experience this and they both realise how different their parents are and realise what they had been missing all this time. I think it would be really precious.

Shipping is good but we mustn't forget the good family bonding content! This is such a good point, they can all balance each other out and push each other to do new things! We love to see it!

I love to imagine Toga and Tomura calling each other in the middle of the night to talk about what they did with their respective dads today and being excited and supportive of each other. When the family eventually gets back together, they get the best of both worlds, they can do quiet tea time and wild concert parties. They have the range!

Another one of those gc chats about civilian!Dabi x hero!tenko

Dabi being a stuntman or villain impersonator for UA and being saved by all might's son who is a hero in an accident. Dabi had lost all hope in heroes but he gets saved by one and is absolutely smitten. Shoto does an intership with shiggy and dabi making excuses to come to the agency to see shiggy. Both dabi and shiggy annoying shoto by asking about the other. The rest of the league is dabi's friend group. Dabi introduces tomura to his friends and tomura fits right in . Tomura never really fit in with the heroes so he's sp happy to be with them. Endeavor being furious after finding out that his son is all might's son's boyfriend and trying to hurt him but tomura saves him yet again. Tomura covers dabi in his Cape and dabi cries because a hero finally saved him. And them going to Pride and tomura being the first openly gay hero who comes to pride in his costume. The UA students are inspired by tomura and feel comfortable to come out and go to pride as well and tomura being like "when did I adopt so many children " and dadzawa laughing at him. Then tomura being interviewed and being anxious but dabi holds his hand the whole time so he answers the questions confidently because he know that LGBTQ+ children all over japan would be inspired by him and will feel comfortable in their sexuality. And all might being extremely proud of his son. Shoto coming out after seeing tomura and bakugo being a huge fan of shiggy but of course never showing it.

This is the result of brainstorming done by me and another fellow intellectual.
