Introversion vs. Extraversion
The most difficult thing for me is to admit publicly that I'm an introvert person.
Not because I'm ashamed (I'm not, I love being the way I am) but because, whenever I say that, everybody starts picturing me as a person who's always alone, hasn't got friends, and doesn't like to talk.
The terms 'introvert' and 'extrovert' don't mean anything else than being able to enjoy time by yourself or prefer to spend it with others.
So, for those who didn't know: I, as an introvert person, am able (and prefer) to enjoy time being alone.
No, I'm not an alien; I'm just a normal person who has needs like everybody else does. And one of them is that, if I've been for a long period of time with a group of people, I require leaving that group and spend some time alone.
Just for a few seconds, it doesn't need to be long.
And that doesn't mean I feel bad spending time with that concrete group of people, is just that I need time for me...like we all need water.
Just to sum everything up, I obtain energy from being by myself and tend not to get bored finding different things to do and distract myself: reading, drawing, writing,..; whereas others obtain it when they are surrounded by people. Easy peasy.
If you still don't get it, don't try to understand it. Just see that everybody requires different things and don't be a dick.
