Hello
I hope you are doing great.
I want to ask you a question.
Is there a way to differentiate between Intuition and wishful thinking, and how to build your intuition?
I'm finally free to explain this as much as i can in detail!
Difference between Wish and Intuition:
Wish obviously has emotions behind it while intuition is perceiving, not being affected by emotions.
If you are confused about whether it's gut feeling/intuition or wish, I recommend you to ask yourself the question to explore further at the same second you get the thought. It's alright to accept your wish completely, but inquire further to see if there is anything else. Cause sometimes both intuition and wish are true and say the same thing. But also don't get stressed about it, you will figure out when you let things flow!
Intuition is what I'd explain as a knowing. Not entirely a gut feeling (sometimes it could be). Sometimes gut feeling could be influenced by past happenings, usually due to fear.
How to develop intuition:
Intuition can absolutely be developed by practice.
You have to learn to calm your mind, your thoughts. When you learn to relax and trust yourself/higher power more with time, it will gradually happen. But of course there are some people that don't know they are using intuition but are really good at it too! They're just very confident, accepting mindset people. Some people need to do both- trust themselves and a higher power while some only need one. It's the feeling of everything's gonna be alright for some.
Of course at start it could only be for few minutes or seconds you could do this.
That's why when you pick a PAC you calm yourself without any thoughts. Because when you think of a specific desired outcome already when picking a pile, you are most likely to pick the same exact thing or something closer in that pile. What's important is not you being right or wrong(your emotions), it's about were you able to choose the right pile/object(in terms of successful execution probability).
You could test yourself with guessing a card from normal card deck, a ball/object in a paper cup and choosing the right one with the ball etc. then increasing the intensity of the test with guessing detailed features. Even picking piles by focusing only on the question(not the outcome) in topics you already know the answer to also works. In real life you do things similarly.
When you have this sense of contentment in yourself you are most likely to get more intuitive as time goes by.
When you are scared/anxious you won't get things right. I'd describe it as a "i can handle it/everything will be alright" kinda calm. Many times readers here are just "trusting themselves" while doing readings, we too aren't always fully confident in what comes up but sometimes we just ball. But other times we know for sure.
Not allowing things to waver you is very necessary. For some people it's self confidence, inner peace or just a positive attitude. Intuition doesn't have any attachments to emotions. What comes out of intuition could invoke emotions but if you're emotional or unstable when exercising intuition, it most probably isn't accurate. It's the detachment. For this to happen, you should have some amount of inner confidence or inner peace.
Consistency is key!
Remember it's alright to rest or even give up. Things will get better gradually, sometimes it just clicks!
I hope this helped you as i described it the best i could!
