A Magi request where Sinbad and Kouen are love rivals for Kagome and both try to appear more appealing to her, much to her annoyance?
I wish they would show more of Kouen in the series…
All she wanted was to enjoy her meal, despite being on enemy territory. This was a dinner - and meeting - to set differences aside and seek for a new alliance, yet she felt the outcome of it all would only get worse. The tension and glares were hidden with smiles and compliments. What had made everything worse was for the Kou general, Kouen Ren, to request for her to sit beside him for dinner.
That led to a certain purple haired king to object the idea.
Now here she was, between the two.
“I hope the food is to your liking, Kagome-sama.”
Hearing the general’s voice beside her, the miko lowered her cup from her lips before turning her head. “A-Ah, yes. Everything here is delicious,” she smiled nervously. Her voice would have not cracked if it were not for the glare she felt beside her.
“Although Kou does have some interesting dishes, Kagome-san happens to love Sindria’s dishes, isn’t that right?” Sinbad smiled before popping a piece of beef into his mouth.
A sweat drop loomed over her head seeing the prideful smirk on his face. Acting like a child even though he was a king. Choosing to ignore his question, Kagome resumed to taking a drink of wine.
“Of course, that includes her preference for a husband is someone from Sindria,” Sinbad added.
Coughing the wine that had failed to go down her throat, Kagome gently patted her chest. Where the hell had that come from?! Turning her head to the grinning king, she had to fight the urge to give him a few good hits. “W-What?” she glared.
“Is that so?” Kouen remained stoic. Lowering his own cup down on the table, he kept his eyes on the performance in front of them. “Well if she were given more freedom outside of Sindria, Kagome-sama would see there are many options out there.” His eyes met Sinbad’s. “She doesn’t need to lower her standards.”
“Oh~,” the corner of Sinbad’s lips twitched.
Kagome rubbed her temple; a headache was coming. These two were supposed to leading a country?
