One of my favorite parts about Airas character development is how at a certain point she does become a leader in the group especially when it comes to fighting which can be seen in how during training she was the leader since Seiko was away and how during the invasion arc she was the one giving most of the commands. Another part of her character that I like is how she actually does research on how to get stronger which can be seen in how she is constantly reading hair magazines and found out how dry hair doesn’t conduct electricity so she can beat an opponent with electric powers.

Genuinely, why the hell didn’t Naruto get promoted after the Chuunin Exams?

Like in the first part, he inspired a lot of people, which Ibiki stated outright was what he wanted from a chuunin. In the second part, he survived fucking Orochimaru. In the third part, he beat Neji, aka the best Konoha genin at the exam.

Then in the Sand and Sound Invasion, he beat Gaara, aka the most dangerous person there (even more than Orochimaru in terms of how much damage he could, like flattening the city as Kyuubi did only a dozen years ago).

So why the hell did they not promote him? If it’s because they didn’t have a Hokage, then how did Shikamaru get promoted? Anyway I just think it’s complete bullshit for Naruto to still be a genin in Shippuden.
