Wait a minute wouldn't a swap cross just act like classic sans? Since, y'know, cross is already a Variant of Swap sans? Maybe in this multiverse Underswap is basically the original Universe and Undertale is just the au of it, in which case I guess it makes sense for why Swap cross does act like swap sans..

Bingo! You got it right, the original au of Inverted IS underswap, but it's NOT that simple.

Tbh I didn't know the original Xtale sans was based on a swap sans, since, in xtale I, he was just like a normal sans

But it's only on Xtale II however that he appears more Swap like, and tbh I understand why ppl think that bc this is the first time he appears on fullscreen.

And also, sans doesn't appear on xtale III which IS odd.

from now on sans only appears in xtale IV, and he doesn't seem to have the same personality as swap so that's why I just didn't think he was based on a swap sans AND he doesn't have the swap scarf. And then in the next episode he's turning into the Cross we know.

Maybe in xtale II XGaster was just testing design ideas??? since the next episode is about underswap, that's just my little theory tho

not to mention the Royal guard uniforms, but just as I said, maybe XGaster was just testing design Ideas

Xtale IX, X and X-controlled is too much spoilers of which idk if the internet is ready for it, so i'll keep it down for now, that's why I've said before, X-swap got it's own thing going on and deserves a whole spin-off, it disconnects from the Invertedverse completly until timeline X all the way to the X-event

And Undying.. oh well, she's actually Soul!Undyne by @/tatatale, and you can find all the info you need in here but the story is basically: Dream met her, he find out she's a powerful god that helps people around the multiverse, and he wanted to have her as a pawn, bc he can sort of control minds and why not?

InvertedVerse seems HELLA cool (like I am legitimately invested in it) but I’m struggling to find much information on it! Sooo… would you mind sitting me down like a child in kindergarten for story time, or at least direct me through where I can find the information? I tried the masterpost, but the links don’t work 😭

Okay okay so InvertedVerse is an alternative multiverse where some people swap, like dream - nightmare, ink - error, i know it's little but they affect the other aus a lot.

The biggest example is Dream (which also can be named as Hope), he's like "oh nooo i hate negativity! Stop existing!" And he goes to negative aus to change them to be positive again, biggest examples are horrortale and dusttale. But some of them are already stable like Soul!Undyne, Ink and Neil, they're just there for emotional support and make more and more positivity.

The bad guys (Nightmare's side) tries to do the same but opposite, as a way to stop Hope, Nightmare basically kidnaps bad guys to somewhere (which i'm still working on) to make like a negativity farm? Like in minecraft but.. utmv, u get it.

And i like to think everything could be precisely summarized by: a multiversal fight between two godly powerful brothers which are too immature.

But yeah that's basically the main plot.
