Here Comes the Bride - Chapter 14:

As soon as dinner was put away and dishes were washed, you got to work on the new uniforms for your small team. It would take a good part of the evening for you to complete, but it would be worth it. Unfortunately, that meant that your uniform would have to wait until tomorrow to be made. It was kind of sad that you couldn’t get a picture of everyone in their new uniforms on the day they got them.

Oh well. What was important was that they got them and loved them. Many hours and pricked fingers later and you were finished. It took you until one in the morning, not counting the time it took to clean up your work area, bandage your poor fingers, and neatly place the uniforms in nice boxes.

Would it have gone faster with a sewing machine? Yes. However, you didn’t have one and knew how to sew things by hand so there was no need for one. Besides, it allowed you to add little details into the fabric. You even embroidered their names right into the fabric.

Yawning, you made your way up to your room to not wake up either of your husbands. You really needed to decorate and furnish one of the spare rooms for the three of you to share. You could think about that when you were more awake.

It was hard getting out of bed the next morning. Papyrus knew you were up late sewing so he let you skip that morning’s run and brought you breakfast in bed. The sweetheart. Though, that did mean you were running late to open up for the day.

Hurrying down the stairs and putting your dishes in the sink, you debated calling Undyne for a ride to work since this about the time she went into her own job. That is, until you saw Red lounging on the couch. Walking over in front of him, you gave him your sweetest smile, watching as he quickly sat up and fumbled with the TV remote.

“Red. Could I ask you for a favor?”

“uh… sure doll. what can i do ya for?”

“Could you take me to work?”

He blinked a few times, trying to register what you had just asked him. As if this was the last thing he had expected you to ask him. Before he was able to give you an answer, however, Wine and Coffee both appeared at your side.

“I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO TAKE YOU TO WORK, MY DEAR.”

A sudden growl caused you to jump and turn back to Red. He had his sharp teeth barred at Wine. What is happening right now?

“she didn’t ask you, asshole!”

“YOU SHOULD HAVE GIVEN HER AN ANSWER THEN, INSTEAD OF GAWKING. THIS WAY, MY DEAR.”

Watching Wine and Coffee walk outside, you turned to Red, ready to apologize. Only for him to hold up his hand to stop you. “don’t worry ‘bout it, sweetheart. next time.”

“Okay. Thank you.” Giving him a smile, you quickly went to join Wine and Coffee and get to work.

Wine had a very nice and very expensive car. A sleek, black Bugatti. At least that’s what he told you. You didn’t know much about cars. You didn’t drive anymore and only got into cars only when it was absolutely necessary. Not to mention, only with drivers you trusted.

You’ve never been in the car with Wine before, so you were more than a little nervous. It seemed that Coffee had picked up on this and lightly caught your sleeve between two of his phalanges, motioning for you to come join him in the back seat. That helped you relax a tiny bit.

Wine also had grabbed your stuff before you had gotten outside and since you were sitting in the back, had your purse and boxes in the passenger seat. But, something had you curious. There was a black box tied with a dark red ribbon sitting on top of your rather plain looking white boxes. It was rather elegant looking.

You waited until you were outside your bakery and grabbing your things to ask him about it. His answer both shocked you and made you want to cry out because of how sweet it was.

“THAT BOX IS FOR YOU. YOU SPENT ALL YOUR TIME DESIGNING AND SEWING ALL OF THOSE UNIFORMS BY HAND, THAT YOU NEGLECTED TO MAKE ONE FOR YOURSELF. SO, I SIMPLY MADE ONE FOR YOU USING MY TALENTS. I DO NOT MAKE CLOTHING FOR OTHERS OFTEN. YOU SHOULD FEEL SPECIAL.”

“I… I don’t know what to say. Thank you, Wine. You didn’t- Just, thank you.” Words couldn’t describe how touched you were that he would do something like this for you.

“THINK NOTHING OF IT, MY DEAR. NOW THEN, HOW ABOUT WE GO INSIDE SO I CAN PUT IN AN ORDER BEFORE WORK?”

“Yes. On the house today. As thanks for bringing me here and for my new uniform.” Unlocking the door, you led the two inside. “I’ll be right back to take your orders.”

Going to the back area, you found your four employees talking amongst themselves while finishing prep for the morning rush. Well, three employees. One of them just didn’t know he would be an official hire here yet.

“Good morning everyone. I come bearing gifts. I hope you all like them. I stayed up all night to finish them.”

“Would this have anything to do with wanting our measurements, precious?” Madame asked as she finished pouring the freshly brewed coffee into the dispensers that would sit behind the front counter.

“Maybe, maybe. You’ll have to open your boxes to find out.” You teased, handing them each a box, setting your own aside to open later. “Go try them on and show them to me. I wanna see the complete look.”

While you waited for them to change, you began to set things up in the main area and got Wine and Coffee their orders before bidding them a good day. Making your way back into the back area, you squealed in delight at what you saw.

Hopps was fixing his leather cuff bracelets as he leaned against the counter top of his work station. His uniform had a scarlet red dress shirt, intentionally designed to be a bit baggy. He had the top two buttons undone and the left half of the shirt tucked messily into his intentionally distressed black jeans. 

They paired well with combat boots and all his piercings. He looked professionally alternative. Tying on his apron, the rabbit Monster looked himself over. The apron was black with a red border. His name was embroidered on the upper righthand side in that same scarlet red.

Your favorite part of the apron? You had embroidered cute little bunnies, carrots, and ice cream in a beautiful iridescent black fabric so it blended in until the light hit it just right. Pride bloomed in your chest at the smirk Hopps sent you.

“Not bad, boss. I kinda dig it.”

“I’m glad you like your new uniform, Hopps. You look so good in it.”

“How about me, precious? Do I look presentable?” Madame asked as she walked out to show you the whole look.

You gasped in delight seeing how it looked on the spider Monster. You knew the style would suit her but… you wondered if everything she wore would appear instantly sexy on her. The main part of her uniform was a cute, short, black and royal purple gothic lolita dress. You had paired it with sheer, sparkly tights with spider web designs.

It would be eye catching for when she worked out in the front area. Because of this fact, you had made a name tag for her that could attach to just about anything. Her dress, a bracelet, a necklace… heck, she would even use it as a hairpin.

Madame’s apron was mostly that same royal purple with black and white border and trimmings. You wanted to give the illusion of ruffles. Her name was embroidered with a sparkly black thread in the center, with purple iridescent designs of spiders, webs, and donuts. Along with a single heart hidden at the bottom.

“Oh my stars, you look gorgeous!”

“Berry… I Have A Question About Me And My Brother’s Aprons.” Crooks nervously said as he and Axe came out to join you three.

They both looked so handsome in their uniforms. Crooks had a pastel Irish fisherman knit sweater and form fitting khaki pants. His apron was a darker, burnt orange with a red border to match the scarf he always wore.

Axe on the other hand, had a heather grey turtle neck that was oversized to make it easier for him to get it on with his head injury and a pair of black cargo pants that had white pockets. His apron was the same shade of blue as the jacket he always wore and had a grey border.

Crooks’ apron had iridescent designs of strawberries, cheesecake, and wildflowers. Axe’s also had wildflowers, but also had mochi and pomegranates.

“Uh… yes! What is your question?”

“...i have a question first…” Axe spoke up, surprising his brother. It was silent for a moment, allowing Axe a chance to gather his thoughts. “why… do i have one…?”

“Because you work here. You taste test food, help me move heavy things, help with cleaning and taking out the trash… sounds like an employee to me.”

“i- … thanks, mango.”

Okay. Two new nicknames. They were adorable, in your opinion. And honestly, so was Axe at this moment. He was being bashful with a sort of rusty blue color to his cheeks. Ugh. Adorable. You couldn’t help the smile that settled onto your face.

“Crooks. Your question?”

“OH. YES. I NOTICED THAT OUR NAMES ARE NOT ON THEM.”

You tried not to laugh as you lightly touched the neatly stitched name on his apron. “They are. Just not the names you usually go by. I know you two hate the names you were given… So, I decided to give you two new names.”

“new names…”

“Everyone’s always giving me nicknames. Now, I’m giving you two nicknames.”

Mochi and Custard. The desserts the brothers seemed to favor the most.

How would they react to finding out their datemate is getting bullied? You can choose who.

Muffet: She sends her spiders to search for any money in their bags or house, and takes it and keeps scaring them with her spiders and won't stop unless you tell her or they stop bullying you.

Arachnid: She'd just go out and threaten to kill them or lay eggs in them and scare them bad enough to where they run away from you lol.

Recluse: She's shocked but secretly records it and sends it to the school, and the bullies families. She says she'll sue if they don't make their children act their age.

Widow: She records them bullying you, and posts it all online while explaining who the people are without showing their faces or saying their names but it'll be easy to tell who they are if you know them. She has no sense of shame.

Fangs: She'll all up and try to kill them haha. You'd have to talk her out of murder.

Orb: She's shocked that anyone would try to bully you! She starts to look things up, and sues them.

Huntsman: She starts to send them things in the mail that's scary, like fake dead animals or glitter bombs. It's hard to track it back to her.

Webs: She learns a lot of stuff about their family, and will blackmail the parents or the person for bullying you, and they'll have to deal with everything that happens.

Spinneret: she gets married to their mom or dad and grounds them(not really I'm sorry, I had to)

Oh yeah, I forgor abt them.

They are besties, they relate to each other and support each other and I love it.

This is their Dreamtale version, but I’ll be talking about their FanaticallyUnderlust lore.

Even thought they were the last ones to be designed from the underlust cast they turned out to he the ones to has most of the spotlight in the spin-off series of invertedverse that focus on underlust.

Muffet:

Let’s just say she’s a night lady, but she only is one in the first place because her boyfriend/not boyfriend made her think she’s only good for that.

I’d say she’s the character who embraced the lust blood the most besides Asgore, Papyrus and Gaster, since besides offering her “services” she also sells “colorful toys”.

Althought she dreams on baking and making a bakery instead of a y’know what shop, she knows people wouldn’t be as interested in that than y’know what she sells now.

Her shop is more famous than Mettaton’s hotel!

She’s one of those characters who rejects any kind of affection, if it doesn’t come from people who’s close to her, like her spiders, Mew mew and her boyfriend not boyfriend. Which btw:

Pent mew mew:

An actress and model! No, not like that, just a regular actress and model… or at least she wish she was.

Her dummy form was Pent Dummy, it was basically an broken and abandoned y’know what toy. Fun fact: that design was inspired on a furry y’know what I once saw LMAO

She once was an ghost who possessed a doll of Mew Mew Kissy Cutie so she could act as herself on her live-action anime adaptation series but since the lust blood incident she couldn’t fit the role anymore.

Her voice was now “too masculine”, her body type ain’t “attractive enough” and people started caring about her genitals too much, and now they don’t want her anymore.

She now survives by working for Muffet in her y’know what shop, she doesn’t feel exactly comfortable being around these things but that’s what gives her money.

By the way, “Pent” comes from “Pent up”……………..okay sorry 💔

If she would ever have a voice actor, it would be Atsuover’s voice.

Here Comes the Bride - Chapter 13:

“how is everything going with your new employees, honey?” Orange asked, sitting next to you at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee.

Looking up from your sketch book, you gave him a small smile in greeting. “Great actually. Everyone gets along great and works all together and around each other. I’ve been meaning to ask you something.”

“shoot.” 

“You asked me the other day if I would be willing to hire Monsters. Did you have anyone in mind?”

Leaning his chair back on just the back two legs, Orange threw his legs up on the table and took a long sip of his coffee before answering. “i have two people in mind. a friend of mine who ran a bar in my underground. her name is missy and she’s a spider monster. the other is a fire monster named flambe. he owned his own- … well, let’s just call it a business because i don’t know what exactly it was.”

Okay. Odd. But, you would stay open minded. If Orange was suggesting them to you, you’d meet them. Even if they weren’t a good fit for your business, you’d help them find them a job or help them open up their own. It’s what you did for Muffet, after all.

“After I’ve finished training my new staff, I’ll gladly meet them.”

There was a moment where you two just kind of… stared… at each other. Orange looked like he wanted to say something. Until someone leaned over you, their hand on the table next to you, caging you in and blocking Orange from your view.

Looking up, you were met with the sight of Wine directing a soft and, dare you say, loving smile down at you. Now completely flustered, you quickly looked back down at your sketch book.

“GOOD MORNING, MY DEAR. WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON?”

Willing your cheeks to cool down, you tried to keep your voice steady. You weren’t sure how or why Wine was able to make you such a mess. Or how he did it so easily. What you did know, was that it was not fair. “Just some uniform sketches for work.”

“OH? WILL YOU BE COMMISSIONING SOMEONE TO MAKE THEM?”

“No. I’m going to make them myself.” Usually, you would take these to a Monster seamstress to help support their business. However, you wanted these to be special. Hand stitched by you. “Makes them more meaningful, don’t you think?”

“alright, starshine! i’m taking you to work today! i have a meeting so we have to hurry!”

“Coming!” Gathering your stuff, you bid the two skeletons in the kitchen a good day and left with Sans. Your mornings were a lot more interesting now with all the different skeletons living with you. It was nice.

Training today was how to order ingredients and how to restock the display cases. There wasn’t much to it and the three caught on quick enough. That made it easier for them to take turns restocking, ordering what was needed, and learning new recipes.

That once again, left poor Axe all alone sitting in his usual seat in one of the corners of the kitchen. Whenever you had a free moment, you would try and make conversation with him. You learned a couple things about him. One thing was that he loved the mochi you had shared with him yesterday. He liked how soft it was and that the flavors weren’t overpowering.

You saw this first hand when you caught him a couple of times rummaging through the fridge looking for more. You’d have to ask Chen if they could make more. Not just for the store, but for Axe too. Heck, you might just ask them to teach you how to make them so it wouldn’t be too much work for them all on their own.

Another thing you learned about Axe was that he couldn’t get a job anywhere due to his head injury. It caused the poor guy to have memory issues and he’ll sometimes have episodes where he’ll think he’s back in his Underground. So, they were very grateful that you allowed him at the bakery while Crooks worked.

Then, there was something that you picked up on on your own. The way that Axe flinched and looked extremely pissed off when hearing his name. With how he reacted, you didn’t want to ask him about it, afraid that you might set him off. Instead, you asked Crooks about it.

That led to an awkward conversation about their Underground and why they hated their nicknames. It had left you a little stunned by the new information. It definitely explained a few things and it dawned on you that Hopps might have asked about the left overs because Crooks and Axe brought it up.

You couldn’t blame them for what they did. Humans did it for different reasons themselves. Not to mention, they did it for survival. The most common reason for it. Which you had to quickly explain to a panicked Crooks. The poor guy was so scared that you’d hate him and his brother and fire him.

You gave him a long lunch break to spend with his brother and allowed him to calm down. Okay. They hate their nicknames. But what else were you supposed to call them? Calling them Sans and Papyrus would just get confusing.

You thought back on all your interactions with the skeletons. Most of them have given you nicknames already. Wine called you my dear, Orange called you honey, Red used doll a couple of times and Mutt would sometimes use darlin’, Sans called you starshine, and Papyrus called you sunshine.

If they could give you nicknames… what’s stopping you from doing the same? That settled it. You would be giving Axe and Crooks new names. It wouldn’t be all that difficult to come up with them either. You just hoped they liked them.

After closing up and saying goodbye to everyone, you turned to head down to the craft store, only to bump into Mutt. That was something you weren’t expecting. You had texted Sans and Papyrus earlier letting them know that you would be taking the bus home since you needed to stop by the craft store.

“Mutt?”

“hey there, darlin’. heard you would be a little late tonight. thought i’d come keep ya company.”

That was super sweet of him. How could you refuse his company after he came all this way just to spend some time with you? Smiling, you took his hand and pulled him off in the direction of the craft store.

“Come on, then. Let’s go. You can help me pick out fabric.”

Here Comes the Bride - Chapter 12:

“Okay, team. Let’s start your training.”

You had your new staff come in early to try and get them trained as soon as possible. If they knew how to do every job, they’d be able to run this place smoothly even if you weren’t here.

“What do we do first, precious?” Madame asked, standing next to a barely awake Hopps.

“YES. WHAT IS OUR FIRST TASK OF THE DAY?”

“Seems like we need to get some caffeine in Hopps’ system before anything else.” You teased, going over and grabbing your cook book from one of the counters.

You loved this book. It was a large, heavy book that had decades of recipes in it. From both humans and Monsters from your family. It was one of the few things you had left of your mother and you cherished it with all your heart. You didn’t let anyone touch this book out of fear of it getting ruined.

You’d have to make cheat sheets for your employees. Until then, you’d have to find a way to instruct them without being completely over their shoulders.

“You’ll each have your own station with your own tools and recipes to use. You’ll also be free to come up with your own recipes to sell. However, you will have to get it approved before we can sell it. Any questions?”

“I think we’re good, boss.”

“Then let’s pick a few recipes for today. I’ll show you how to make them and then you can try them on your own.”

It went surprisingly well. Crooks, Hopps, and Madame were quick learners. They each decided to take on one recipe each and worked around each other in an almost dance like manner. You knew you hired the right people. Now, all that was left was to give Axe something to do. You couldn’t just leave the man alone and bored sitting in a corner.

Grabbing a container from the fridge, you went over and took a seat next to the rather large skeleton. You could feel his eye light on you as you opened the container. Holding it out to him, you gave him a small smile.

“Would you like to try some mochi?”

“mochi…?” Carefully picking one of the treats up, Axe looked at it, trying to figure out what it was.

“It’s a Japanese rice cake. My sister’s partner gave them to me. I was thinking about selling them here. Do you think that would be a good idea?”

Looking at you, his good socket widened in shock. “you… want my opinion…?”

“I one hundred percent do.” Nodding once to punctuate your statement, you set the container down by him and stood. “Let me know what you think of them. I’m going to go check on the others.”

Missing the dumbfounded look on Axe’s face, you went over to Hopps’ station to see what he was working on.

“Hey, boss. What can I do ya for?”

“Just checking in on you and seeing what you decided to make.”

Sprinkling some flour on the countertop, Hopps dumped some dough onto it and began to knead it. “Just some carrot bread.”

You remembered that recipe. You and Ally would make it every Autumn. It was a tradition that started with your mother that you two kept up in her honor. It was moist and very delicious. This recipe uses both carrot juice and shredded carrots. Along with raisins, flaked coconut, maraschino cherries, and different kinds of nuts.

You were definitely going to add it to your menu as a fall exclusive and available upon request. And maybe you’d make some special. Just for Hopps. If you were feeling nice.

“Awesome sauce. Let me know when it’s done so we can all sample it.” Lightly slapping his back, you moved over to Madame’s station.

“Well, hello there, precious.” The spider Monster greeted you, looking away from what her six arms were doing. “What do I owe the pleasure of your presence?”

“Madame, please. You’re making me all flustered.” You teased, stopping next to her. “What are you making?”

“I am making baklava with saffron and honey.”

That wasn’t one you were familiar with. Looking through your recipe book you found it right in the front. Wow. It was one of the oldest recipes in there. You could definitely make this as a Valentines Day exclusive and for your adults only menu.

“Can’t wait to try it.”

All you had left to do before preparing the rest of the prep for the day was to check on Crooks. Stopping at his station, you saw him happily mixing something in a bowl.

“Heya, Crooks. Whatcha making?”

“OH, I AM MAKING SOMETHING WONDERFUL. IT IS CALLED CUSTARD. SOMETHING SO SIMPLE IS USED TO MAKE SO MANY WONDEROUS DESSERTS.”

Okay. Why was that adorable? He seemed so happy and excited about it. “That’s great. What kind of custard are you making?”

“FROZEN STRAWBERRY CUSTARD.”

That sounded… refreshing, actually. Would be great for a summer menu item. “That sounds so delicious. You guys keep up the good work.”
