One of the most underrated JRPG series ever in my opinion. Shadow Hearts is a sequel to the PS1 game Koudelka. It keeps all the darkness but none of Koudelka's gameplay mechanics, with a complete battle and party system overhaul. It's USPs are the Judgement Ring, a roulette-style meter which determines whether you hit, miss or critical an action in battle or on the field, and the fact that protagonist Yuri Hyuga can morph into a variety of demon forms at will.
