If you were Taylor, which song would you choose to be the next single and how the mv would be like?
Ohhhh, that's an interesting question!
So first of all I need to picture myself as the Artist of the Decade, which, believe me, it's not going to be easy...
Okay, I suppose you want something from folklore, because I don't think I'd release something old (not before the masters get re recorded and released).
So, without putting myself into the dangerous teenage love triangle, I'd release something different. A song that many don't consider, but I think it's just too precious.
invisible string
So, let me get this straight- IT'S NOT.
Set in Nashville we would see a young Taylor walking around Centennial Park, watching couples and thinking about a future relationship. Then, another character appears in a yogurt shop, we just see them from behind and while Taylor enters a colleague serves her, their eyes don't meet but they'll both remember that day.
*flash forward*
Taylor's in a car, her lovHER is driving for their anniversary road trip (just like the old days), but once Bad Blood starts playing a funny anecdote comes back: that's the same song that her partner has heard in a cab the first time she visited her. They're playing it lowkey, so the spot they chose is never full of tourists, a typical countryside location where a waitress barely recognizes Taylor, who, on the other hand thinks she's just being flirty.
*various meaningful pictures show the course of their relationship, birthdays, concerts, fashion shows, holidays getaways*
Then during the bridge there'd be a flashback in B/W about her past relationships, how they were doomed since the beginning, fighting, crying and loneliness; but when she was waiting for the wrong person at a bar she noticed a golden thread tied to her pinky, so che starts following it and she finds the other part: tied to someone she knew immediately was her destined lover, regardless of place, time or circumstances.
And once they are together the colors come back (but we were in screaming colors), and whatever gossip she would hear about her exes she wouldn't care anymore, she would just laugh.
Since I love circular storylines the ending would be in Centennial Park, next to a yogurt shop. It's fall and the sky looks like a perfect bi flag (blue, purple and pink) and while they're walking, she notices how this place was what brought her to heaven, in her lover's arms with a golden string, invisible to the rest of the world.
Well, that's it. I hope you can picture it like I did it in my mind, whew.
